Hotel Marroad Hakone is an onsen resort hotel in Gora, Hakone. The Superior Japanese-Western Room is 42 sq m and the Daimonji View Japanese-Western Room is 28 sq m plus a 6-tatami area; both take 2-4 guests, with futon bedding added on the tatami when 3 or more guests stay. The Deluxe Room is 70 sq m for 1-4 guests and has a large sofa set, making it well suited to families and groups of friends. The unrenovated first floor also has the Standard Japanese-Western Room (42 sq m, for 2-5 guests), where futon bedding is used when 3 or more guests stay. The beds are Simmons beds, and twin rooms have two beds measuring 1,200 by 2,030 mm.
Dining
The restaurant voyageur serves a full-course, classic French menu made with fresh seafood and mountain produce. Dinner seatings are at 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and at 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Breakfast is an American breakfast where you choose your egg dish, served from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Kids' meal options are also available.
Baths and Onsen
The natural onsen draws milky-white water from Owakudani, flowing 100% directly from the source. The spring water is an acidic chloride spring and a calcium and magnesium sulfate spring. There are separate communal baths, open-air baths and saunas for men and women, open from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Guests in junior high school and above pay a separate bathing tax of 150 yen per person.
