Hakone Yumoto Yaeikan is a long-established ryokan beside a mountain stream, a 6-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station. All 20 rooms are Japanese-style tatami rooms, each with its own character, and breakfast and dinner are served in your room as a rule. The private-hire bath and private-hire open-air bath are free to use 24 hours a day, so families can enjoy the onsen on their own. Co-sleeping is available for up to 2 children, and a kids' meal is available. There is no elevator, and some rooms involve a lot of stairs.
Rooms
All 20 rooms are Japanese-style tatami rooms, each with its own character, divided into 7 types. Every room has a bidet-style washlet toilet. The standard Natsukashi no Ma accommodates 1 to 7 guests, Seseragi no Ma along the Sukumogawa river accommodates 1 to 6, and the Japanese-modern Yutori no Ma [Matsukaze] accommodates 1 to 5. There are also rooms with their own private onsen: the 53 sq m Yutori no Ma [Yugiri] for 1 to 7 guests, and the 83 sq m special room Yutori no Ma [Horai] for 1 to 8 guests. Hoga no Ma, on the top floor, involves a lot of stairs (the equivalent of four floors), and there is no elevator. Some other rooms also involve a lot of stairs, so guests who are unsure on their feet are asked to consult the ryokan in advance.
