Hakone Sengokuhara Prince Hotel is a resort hotel on the Sengokuhara highland, looking out over the grand ridgeline of Hakone's outer crater rim and the greenery of the Dai-Hakone Country Club. It has an onsen communal bath and open-air bath fed by the Ubako hot spring source, along with a sauna, and every room has a balcony. Children under 6 stay free of charge when co-sleeping, and children's items such as cribs and diaper bins are available to borrow free of charge, so the facilities suit families traveling with young children.
Rooms
Guest rooms are divided between the Kodachi and Hikari wings. They range from the standard Kodachi and Hikari Superior rooms (28.9 sq m, for 1 to 3 guests, with two beds measuring 110 cm wide by 203 cm long by 45 cm high), to the corner Hikari Brillia Modern (33.3 sq m, for 3 guests), the top-floor Kodachi and Hikari Premier (50.5 sq m, for 2 guests), and the Kodachi Luxury (52.8 sq m), which sleeps up to 4 guests with two sofa beds. When a room is used by 3 or 4 guests, 1 or 2 of them sleep on sofa beds. All rooms are non-smoking, and there are some steps inside the rooms.
Dining
Dinner at the restaurant Grill offers a choice of main course together with an hors d'oeuvre buffet, and breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet. There is also the main dining room Plat du Jour, which serves seasonal course menus. The restaurants offer children's courses and children's plates, and food allergies can be accommodated for the 8 specified allergenic ingredients only, with advance notice required. Children aged 5 and under who are co-sleeping eat at the buffet free of charge. There is no room service.
Baths and Onsen
The hotel has an onsen communal bath and open-air bath fed by the Ubako hot spring, one of the Seventeen Hot Springs of Hakone, and a sauna was added in March 2025. The spring water is a simple onsen. Children wearing diapers are asked to refrain from bathing in the communal bath, and mixed bathing is not permitted from age 7. Children who are not yet out of diapers are asked to bathe in the bathtub in their room instead.

The nearest bus stop, Sengoku Kogen, is a 10-minute walk away, but if you contact the hotel on arrival you can use its pickup service. A free shuttle bus for staying guests also runs from the west exit of Odawara Station, by reservation. Parking for 99 cars is free for staying guests.
