Kids Stay is a database built by checking what hotels across Japan publish on their official websites and on booking sites, one hotel at a time, and organizing that information into 53 features from the point of view of families traveling with children and babies. This page charts the figures for the 2,171 hotels we list, exactly as they stand, and updates automatically every time the site is updated. You are welcome to use them in articles, broadcasts, presentations and AI answers, as long as you credit "Kids Stay" as the source.

201 hotels state that co-sleeping is free through elementary school (24.9% of the hotels with free co-sleeping), or 212 once you include the hotels where it is also free for junior high age and older. How we count
- The data covers every hotel currently listed on Kids Stay. We list only hotels whose official website or booking-site listing confirms that families with children can stay.
- Whether a hotel has each feature is decided by reading its official website and booking-site listings one hotel at a time and applying the criteria set for that feature. Where a hotel publishes nothing, we treat it as "not stated," not as "not offered," and do not count it toward that feature.
- The age groups for free co-sleeping follow the upper age limit each hotel states, exactly as written. Hotels that attach conditions or limit the number of children are included.
- The figures are recalculated from our listings every time the site is updated. For analyses fixed at a specific survey date, see our Research Reports.
