The whole property is non-smoking, and because the buildings are two stories with stairs only, a stroller has to be carried up and down.

Dining
Dinner and breakfast are served in the first-floor restaurant of the main building and of the Bettei annex respectively, in two or three seatings. In-room dining is not available. Dinner centers on sukiyaki or shabu-shabu made with top-grade Yonezawa beef, and breakfast is a Japanese set meal that includes dried fish. There is a children's menu, with a kids' plate of dishes such as Hamburg steak and fried shrimp. On the Welcome Baby plan you may bring your own baby food, and the restaurant will warm it for you; there is also a shared microwave in the building. A free-drink corner is available throughout your stay, with alcohol served, though beer and wine are not yet offered. On plans that include meals, alcoholic and soft drinks are unlimited for 70 minutes at dinner, and there is also a post-bath ice cream service.

There are few restaurants around the ryokan, and the nearest convenience store is about a 10-minute walk away. On consecutive-night stays, rooms are not cleaned from the second night onward.
