Fifteen log houses, each rented as a whole building

Fuyo no Yado Mt.Fuji Resort Log House sits in the Matsuyama district of Fujiyoshida and consists of 15 log houses, each rented in its entirety to one group. The Japanese-style buildings use domestically grown Japanese cedar generously, and the scent of natural wood greets you the moment you open the door. There are two types: a 5-guest type (about 85 sq m, 10 buildings) and a 7-guest type (about 110 sq m, 5 buildings), and 3 of the 5-guest buildings allow pets. Because each building stands on its own as a detached house, it suits families and groups who want to relax without worrying about other guests.

Free use of the day-use onsen next door, Fujisan Yogan no Yu Sensui

Guests at Fuyo no Yado can use the day-use onsen right next door, Fujisan Yogan no Yu Sensui (Mount Fuji lava hot spring), at no charge and as often as they like throughout their stay. It is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays, with last admission at 9:30 p.m., and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends and holidays, with last admission at 10:30 p.m. The morning bath and the ganbanyoku (heated-stone sauna) are currently closed. Each log house has its own toilet, shower room and bathroom on the first floor, so you can also bathe inside your own building without walking over to the onsen.

Room facilities and amenities

Each building has 2 Simmons semi-double beds; parties of 3 or more sleep on futon bedding. Electrical appliances include a television, a refrigerator-freezer, a convection microwave oven, a rice cooker, a coffee maker, an electric kettle, a hair dryer and air conditioning, while the cooking equipment runs from an induction cooktop to pots, frying pans, a cutting board, a knife and a full range of cutlery - so apart from seasonings, you can arrive empty-handed. Amenities include samue (a two-piece Japanese work-style outfit, adult sizes only), bath towels, face towels, shampoo, conditioner and body soap, and since February 2026 every building has a ReFa BEAUTECH DRYER S+. All the water from the taps and in the bath is Mount Fuji underground spring water, which contains vanadium.

Glamping barbecues on the terrace and dining

Dinner can be a glamping-style barbecue on your terrace, on the one-night, dinner-included plan. The barbecue equipment is a Coleman gas-cartridge grill, and the full rental set is 6,000 yen including tax. Food sets are also sold, all by reservation: a beef set at 3,500 yen, a pork set at 2,700 yen, a beef-and-pork mix at 3,300 yen and a vegetable set at 600 yen. You may bring your own barbecue grill as long as it is gas or electric; wood and charcoal are not allowed. On a room-only plan you are welcome to bring in your own food and drinks, and there is a Daily Yamazaki convenience store and a Daiso about a minute's walk away for shopping.

Staying with children and with pets

Children aged 4 and over are counted toward the occupancy and charged the same as adults, while children aged 3 and under are counted as zero guests and there is no charge for them. No listing of baby-specific items to borrow, such as a crib, baby bath or baby chair, is published, so please confirm with the hotel. Each building is entirely separate, though, so children can be as lively as they like without worrying about other guests. Pets are welcome only in the 3 dedicated buildings of the 5-guest type: small dogs weighing 10 kg or less, up to 2 dogs, at 3,000 yen per dog per night including tax, with advance reservation required. You will need to present a copy of the vaccination certificate.

Access and parking

The location is convenient: about 5 minutes by taxi from Mt. Fuji Station on the Fujikyuko Line, or about a 30-minute walk, and about a 10-minute walk from Fuji-Q Highland. It is just off the Kawaguchiko IC, and Lake Kawaguchi and the surrounding sightseeing area are about 15 minutes away by car. Parking is free for 15 cars and needs no reservation.
