Fuji View Hotel

Fuji View Hotel is a classic resort in the Fujiya Hotel chain, set on high ground in the Katsuyama area on Lake Kawaguchi's southern shore. Majestic Mount Fuji stretches across the view in front of the hotel, while the grounds include an approximately 30,000-tsubo garden. Guests can enjoy the changing seasons, from more than 300 cherry trees in spring to fresh greenery, autumn leaves, and snowy scenery, in an open and spacious setting.

Guest rooms

Japanese-style tatami rooms, Japanese-Western rooms, and Western-style rooms are well represented, with many generously sized layouts suitable for multigenerational family trips. Options include Japanese-Western rooms with 10 tatami mats of Ryukyu-style tatami, a Superior Japanese-style room with 22.5 tatami mats for up to 6 guests, and a Junior Suite with a scenic-view bath. All rooms have been renovated as nonsmoking rooms, with views toward Mount Fuji, Lake Kawaguchi, or the gardens.

Onsen and communal baths

The basement-level communal bath uses water from Shurei no Yu, one of the sources in the Lake Kawaguchi Onsen area. The spring is a calcium and sodium sulfate-chloride hot spring, which are considered to have benefits for neuralgia and sensitivity to cold. The men's and women's baths each have an open-air bath and sauna, and are open from 15:00 to 23:30 and again from 5:30 to 10:00 the following morning. A multipurpose restroom beside the communal bath has a diaper-changing station, allowing families with young children to use the facilities with peace of mind.

Facilities that help when traveling with children

The hotel has a range of provisions for multigenerational travel. Children's slippers, yukata, and pajamas are available to borrow, while baby food can be prepared on request and baby food and diapers can be purchased on site. Children's tableware is available, and hot water for formula preparation at 60°C can be provided in the room. Strollers are available to borrow free of charge, and bed fences and bed guards are available in limited quantities. Cribs are also available in rooms. Meal plans with children's dishes can be selected.

Activities

In the approximately 30,000-tsubo garden, children and adults can enjoy activities including ground golf (equipment lent free of charge, free for staying guests, 6:30 to sunset), as well as 3 tennis courts and badminton. Families can also explore the shores of Lake Kawaguchi by rental bicycle or enjoy bird-watching with binoculars available to borrow free of charge. A walking path of approximately 1.6 km runs along the lakeshore and is suitable for walks.

Dining

Guests can choose between French and Japanese cuisine for dinner, while breakfast is served at the Fuji View Lounge. The hotel has a food allergy response policy, and advance confirmation is required when requesting assistance.

Access

The hotel is about 10 minutes by taxi from Kawaguchiko Station on the Fujikyu Line and is also close to the Kawaguchiko Interchange on the Chuo Expressway, making it convenient to reach by car. Free parking is available for 86 vehicles.
