Lake Yamanaka Pension Blue Ribbon is a small 7-room pension standing among the trees on the shore of Lake Yamanaka, at an elevation of about 1,000 m. It has a private-hire open-air bath with a waterfall and two indoor artificial onsen baths that can be booked privately around the clock, and the lounge holds five tropical fish tanks. Fuji Speedway is 20 minutes away, Fuji-Q Highland 30 minutes and Gotemba Premium Outlets 30 minutes, which makes it an easy base for a family trip.
Lake Yamanaka Pension Blue Ribbon is a small 7-room inn set among the trees of the Hirano district on the shore of Lake Yamanaka, at an elevation of about 1,000 m. It opened in July 2000 and has been run by the owner couple for more than 20 years. Yamanakako Koryu Plaza Kirara is a little over 10 minutes away on foot, Fuji-Q Highland about 30 minutes by car and Fuji Speedway about 20 minutes, so it sits in an easy spot from which to tour the Fuji Five Lakes and the area's leisure attractions.
Rooms
There are 7 rooms in all, ranging from twins where you can choose single, semi-double or double beds up to a room with 5 beds. One room has a bath and toilet and another has a washbasin and toilet, and there is also one suite and one deluxe twin. Every room has a television and heating and air conditioning, and all public toilets have washlet bidet seats. Nightwear is not provided, so please bring your own.
Baths and Onsen
There is a private-hire open-air bath with a waterfall, plus two indoor artificial onsen baths (6.6 sq m each) that can be booked privately 24 hours a day. The water is an artificial onsen of ultra-soft water with natural minerals, and because every bath is locked for private-hire use, families with young children can take their time without worrying about other guests. Bath amenities are provided.
Dining
Meals are served in a calm natural-wood dining room surrounded by large tropical fish tanks and houseplants. The bar counter is open from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., serving cocktails, draft beer and soft drinks. The lounge is a place to slip off your slippers and unwind, with manga to read and space to sit and talk.
Other Information
The whole building is non-smoking, and pets cannot stay. There is no shuttle service. Check-in is at 3 p.m. and checkout is at 10 a.m. A lowest-price guarantee applies to bookings made by phone, and credit cards (VISA, Mastercard and AMEX) and PayPay are accepted.
