A resort at the foot of Mount Fuji, about 5 minutes by car from the Kawaguchiko interchange. On May 30, 2026, it was rebranded as Kamenoi Hotel Fuji, adding family-friendly Safari Kids Rooms and Kids Rooms, plus a large 286 sq m indoor kids' park, game corner and book lounge. Two bathing areas include a 1st-floor onsen communal bath and a 2nd-floor bath with a sauna. The dinner buffet offers baby food and a kids' section.
A family-focused resort hotel surrounded by the forests of Mount Fuji
This resort hotel is about 5 minutes by car from the Kawaguchiko and Fujiyoshida interchanges, and about 10 minutes by car from Fuji-Q Highland. It operated under the name Evergreen Fuji from April 21 through May 29, 2026, then reopened as Kamenoi Hotel Fuji on May 30 after its rebranding. It is operated by Iconia Hospitality.
Newly built kids' areas for families
A large indoor kids' park of about 286 sq m was added on the 2nd floor as part of the rebranding. It can be enjoyed on rainy or snowy days and is open from 14:00 to 20:00 and from 9:00 to 12:00 the following morning. The fee is 500 yen per person (flat rate) including tax for children aged 4 and over and their guardians; guests staying in a Kids Room can use it free of charge. Entry and exit are allowed as many times as desired from 14:00 on the day of check-in until 12:00 the following day. The same 2nd-floor area also has a 144 sq m game corner open from 7:00 to 20:00, a book lounge with about 3,700 manga books, and table tennis for 500 yen per 30 minutes.
Mount Fuji views and kid-friendly rooms
Room types include Safari Kids Rooms measuring 48-54 sq m, with a maximum occupancy of 6, zoo-inspired decor and indoor play equipment such as a hammock; Kids Rooms measuring 36 sq m, with a maximum occupancy of 4, picture books and Mount Fuji motifs throughout; Corner Twin Mount Fuji View rooms; four-person "Fours" Mount Fuji View rooms; 10-tatami Japanese-style tatami rooms with Mount Fuji views; and 12-tatami Japanese-style tatami rooms. Every room has a bathroom, a humidifying air purifier, free Wi-Fi and a smart TV. All rooms are nonsmoking; a designated smoking room (smoking area) is on the 1st floor.
Onsen communal baths and Kamiya Onsen
There are two bathing areas. The 1st-floor onsen communal bath is a quiet space with Mount Fuji-inspired wall art and views of a Japanese garden. It uses sodium-calcium chloride-sulfate spring water brought from Kamiya Onsen: weakly alkaline, low-osmotic-pressure high-temperature spring water with a pH of 8.2. Hours are 15:00-24:00 and 5:30-9:30 the following morning. The 2nd-floor bath with a sauna overlooks the natural mountain scenery and has the same hours: 15:00-24:00 and 5:30-9:30 the following morning. Mixed bathing is permitted for children up to age 6. Tattoos are generally not permitted, but they are allowed when fully concealed with a cover sticker. Bath towels are not stocked in the communal bath, so bring them from your room.
Dinner, breakfast and late-night tantanmen
The dinner buffet with a live kitchen runs from 18:00 to 21:00, with last entry at 20:30 and a 90-minute time limit. It offers about 80 Japanese and Western dishes, including local Yamanashi specialties such as Koshu Wine Beef steak, grilled whole iwana char, horse sashimi and hoto hot pot. Baby food, a kids' section with items such as seasoned shake-style fries, fried shrimp and Hamburg steak, and baby chairs are available. Kamenoi Hotel's signature guest-only service, free late-night "Jigoku Meguri Yonaki Tantanmen," is served in the 1st-floor restaurant from 21:00 to 22:30. Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 10:00.
Children's rates and services
Children are priced in three categories: Child A for elementary school children, at 70% of the adult rate with meals and bedding; Child B for children who have not yet started elementary school aged 3-6, at 50% of the adult rate with meals and bedding; and Child D for children aged 0-2, with a 1,650-yen facility use fee, no meals or bedding, and co-sleeping. Children are charged from age 0. Children's loungewear (in-house wear) is available to borrow in S and M sizes from the lobby amenities corner on the 1st floor. A shuttle bus from Kawaguchiko Station operates by advance reservation.
