Children under 12 can co-sleep in many room types, including the Mountain View Twin, though extra beds are not available in some rooms. Cribs are provided on request.
Dining
Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet, served in the Dining Room on the first floor from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The hotel's restaurants and room service can provide kids' menus and smaller portions, and if you have dietary or religious restrictions or allergies, you can discuss them with the staff in advance. The room service all-day dining menu also has a wide choice of children's dishes, from appetizers through dessert. The Living Room turns into a bar lounge from 8 p.m., so from 9 p.m. onward, babies and children who have not yet started elementary school cannot use it.
Baths and Onsen
The communal bath uses acidic sulfate spring water sourced from Owakudani Onsen and is open from 6 a.m. to midnight. It has a simple layout with a large tub and a washing area, and there is no open-air bath or sauna. The water in the guest-room bathrooms is not onsen water, so to soak in the hot spring you need to use the communal bath. Children who are not yet out of diapers (not yet toilet-trained) are asked to refrain from bathing, and children may bathe with a parent of the opposite sex only until they start elementary school. Guests are also asked not to bathe in swimsuits.
Family-Friendly Features
Children under 12 can co-sleep with a parent or guardian in an existing bed, and cribs are also provided for children aged 2 and under. On plans that include breakfast, breakfast is free for co-sleeping children. There is no age restriction, but for families whose children find it hard to sit still through a meal, the hotel also suggests room service. There are no connecting rooms; if you would like rooms next to each other, the hotel will arrange this where possible within the same room type. There is no on-site childcare or babysitting service, but the hotel can refer you to trusted services nearby. Access
The nearest station is Kami-Goura Station on the Hakone Tozan Cable Car, about a 5-minute walk away, and Goura Station on the Hakone Tozan Railway is about 5 minutes by taxi. A free shuttle runs from Goura Station, and a round-trip shuttle bus also runs between Odawara Station and the hotel. The shuttle bus has no child seats, however, so children aged 6 and under cannot ride it. The covered parking has 57 spaces and is free for staying guests. Check-in is from 3 p.m., and checkout is at 12 p.m.
