The most standard type, the Guest Room Twin, is 56 sq m with two beds measuring 120 cm wide by 200 cm long, for 1 to 2 guests. The Deluxe Twin & Tatami Room, which has a tatami living area, is 67 sq m with a 9 sq m balcony; futon bedding can be laid out on the tatami, and it accommodates up to 4 adults. Children ages 12 and under can co-sleep in many room types, including the Mountain View Twin, though extra beds are not available in some rooms. A crib is available on request.
Dining
Breakfast is a Japanese-Western buffet, served in the first-floor Dining Room from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The hotel's restaurants and room service can prepare kids' menus and smaller portions, and guests with dietary or religious restrictions or allergies can speak with staff in advance. The room service all-day dining menu also offers a generous choice of children's dishes, from appetizers through dessert. The Living Room becomes a bar lounge from 8 p.m., so from 9 p.m. it is not available to infants or children who have not yet started elementary school.
Baths and Onsen
The communal bath uses acidic sulfate spring water from the Owakudani source and is open from 6 a.m. to midnight. It has a simple layout with a large tub and a washing area, and there is no open-air bath or sauna. The water in guest-room bathrooms is not onsen water, so soaking in the hot spring means using the communal bath. Infants and young children who are not yet out of diapers (not yet toilet-trained) are asked to refrain from bathing, and mixed bathing for children is permitted only for children under school age. Bathing in a swimsuit is also not permitted.
Family-Friendly Features
Children under 12 can co-sleep with a parent or guardian in an existing bed, and a crib is available for children ages 2 and under. On plans that include breakfast, breakfast is free for co-sleeping children. No age limit is set, but for families whose children find it hard to sit still through a meal, room service is also suggested. There are no connecting rooms; if you would like rooms next to each other, the hotel will accommodate this where possible within the same room type. There is no childcare or babysitting service on site, but the hotel can refer you to trusted services nearby. Useful extras for your stay, such as children's yukata and in-house bingo, are also available. Spa treatments are for ages 18 and over.
Access
The nearest station is Kami-Goura Station on the Hakone Tozan Cable Car, about a 5-minute walk away, and Goura Station on the Hakone Tozan Railway is about 5 minutes by taxi. A free shuttle runs from Goura Station, and a round-trip shuttle bus also runs between Odawara Station and the hotel. The shuttle bus does not carry child seats, so children ages 6 and under cannot use it. The covered parking has 57 spaces and is free for staying guests.
