Breezbay Lake Resort Kawaguchiko (BBH Hotel Group) is a 47-room resort hotel about a 12-15 minute walk from Kawaguchiko Station on the Fujikyuko Line and about 10 minutes by car from the Kawaguchiko Interchange on the Chuo Expressway. Set on high ground above the shore of Lake Kawaguchi, it takes pride in its views of majestic Mount Fuji and the lake, and in natural onsen water drawn from underground at the foot of Mount Fuji. Baths and onsen
The natural onsen communal bath is a sodium-calcium sulfate-chloride spring, 28.2 degrees C at the source and 40.5 degrees C in the bath, colorless, clear, tasteless and odorless. It is said to be beneficial for neuralgia, muscle pain, fatigue and sensitivity to cold. Hours are 3 p.m. to midnight and 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. the next morning. There is also a sauna, one for men and one for women, which guests are asked to share considerately. No sauna mats are provided, and guests should bring the towels supplied in their room.
Baby and kids' services
Two rules matter to families: boys aged 7 and over or 120 cm and taller may not enter the women's bath, and girls aged 7 and over or 120 cm and taller may not enter the men's bath; and children who are not yet out of diapers should use a baby bath. The hotel is set up to welcome families with babies and states that a baby bath is provided or available to borrow. Guests with tattoos may bathe only if the tattoo can be covered with an 8 cm x 10 cm cover seal, which guests bring themselves; anyone who is intoxicated is asked to refrain from bathing. The bathing tax applies to every overnight guest, whether or not they use the communal bath.
