Minshuku Asafuji is a small minshuku (a family-run guesthouse) right on the shore of Lake Yamanaka, about 10 minutes by car from Yamanakako Station, and every room is a Japanese-style tatami room. The rooms measure 6 tatami mats, and the bath, toilet, washbasin and refrigerator are shared. The home-style bath can be used privately, so it is easy for your family to bathe on your own. Handmade dinners and breakfasts are made with home-grown vegetables, child rates are available, and children are welcome at the inn. Parking is free of charge, and guests can use the shared refrigerator and washing machine as they like.
Rooms
Every guest room at the inn is a Japanese-style tatami room. Some rooms take 1 to 2 guests and others take 2 to 4, so you can choose one to suit your group. Each room measures 6 tatami mats, and the bath, toilet, washbasin and refrigerator are shared. Rooms come with a face towel, toothbrush, bath towel, yukata and an air purifier. The microwave is shared as well, so please ask the staff if you would like to use it.
Dining
Meals are handmade with fresh ingredients, including the inn's own home-grown vegetables. Dinner features dishes such as sashimi, grilled dishes, fried dishes and hot pot. Breakfast offers a wide range of items, prepared with nutritional balance in mind. Barbecue is also available.
Baths
The bath is a home-style bath with two shower spaces, and it can be used privately. Bathing hours are from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Because your family has the tub to yourselves, it is easy to bathe together with a small child. The door locks from the inside, so you can use the bath freely whenever it is not in use.

The inn is about 10 minutes by car from Yamanakako Station and sits right on the shore of Lake Yamanaka. You will find it just after turning onto the road at junction number 37 of the Yamanakako Road. Parking is available free of charge.
