Overview

Fujilake Hotel is a long-established hot spring hotel on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi, founded in 1932 (Showa 7) and certified as a Welcome Baby-friendly hotel. Fully flat, universal-design rooms and rooms with a private open-air bath let babies join their first onsen bath together with the family. Baby items such as baby baths, Bumbo seats, and baby bottle sterilizing kits are available to borrow for free, and there is a wide toddler-food menu suitable from around 6 months old. A summer-only outdoor pool and an indoor Mount Fuji observation deck round out the amenities.

Set on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi in the shadow of sacred Mount Fuji, this long-established hot spring hotel was founded in 1932 (Showa 7). Its founder was a doctor who studied hospitality in the United States, and that spirit lives on in the hotel's barrier-free, universal-design philosophy today, creating a place where guests from babies to the elderly can stay with peace of mind. It is certified as a "Welcome Baby-friendly Hotel" by the Miki House Child Care Research Institute.

Rooms

Room types are wide-ranging: from special rooms with a private open-air bath fed by Lake Kawaguchi Onsen's piped hot spring water, to fully flat universal-design rooms, and the wa-modern "Wa-Nagomi" rooms that place a low bed within a Japanese-style tatami room. The Welcome Baby-certified rooms (Semi Comfort, Comfort, and Wa-Nagomi) have no floor-level steps, and a room with its own open-air bath lets your baby have a relaxed first onsen experience together with the family.
