This communal bath draws on Shurei no Yu, the natural hot spring of the Fuji Kawaguchiko onsen area, and can be used 24 hours a day. Overview
Maruyaso Kawaguchiko Onsen is an onsen minshuku (a family-run Japanese guesthouse) in the Fuji Kawaguchiko onsen area at the foot of Mount Fuji. The natural hot spring Shurei no Yu can be used 24 hours a day and is said to be beneficial for recovery from fatigue and muscle aches. All 11 rooms are Japanese-style tatami rooms with a shared bath and toilets, and the 9-tatami and 12-tatami rooms are on the first floor. Child rates are set for every room type, so the guesthouse suits family stays as well. A shuttle wagon runs from Kawaguchiko Station, and a convenience store and family restaurants are within walking distance.
Rooms
All guest rooms are Japanese-style tatami rooms, and the bath and toilets are shared. Of the seven room types, the 10-tatami rooms sleep 4 to 5 guests and the 12-tatami rooms sleep 4 to 6, and the guesthouse recommends the 12-tatami rooms for family stays. The smallest room, at 4.5 tatami, is for 2 guests; the 8-tatami, 7.5-tatami and 9-tatami rooms each sleep 3 to 4; and the 6-tatami rooms sleep 2 to 3. The 9-tatami and 12-tatami rooms are on the first floor. The toilets have a bidet function: one shared unisex facility on the second floor and four gender-separated facilities on the first floor. Every room has a television, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a kettle.
Dining
The accommodation plans currently offered are room-only, and guests are asked to have their meal before heading to the guesthouse. Guests on a plan with dinner and breakfast are asked to complete check-in by 6 p.m., while for stays without dinner, check-in is until 10 p.m. Family restaurants (Gusto and Bamiyan) are a 3-minute walk from the guesthouse.
Baths and Onsen
The bath draws on the natural hot spring Shurei no Yu and can be used 24 hours a day. The spring water is a sodium-calcium chloride spring, a calcium spring and a sodium spring, said to be beneficial for muscle aches, stress and recovery from fatigue. The water is said to be effective for cuts and burns, which is why it is also known as Kizu no Yu. The bath here is a communal bath fed by natural onsen water.

Nearby are convenience stores (7-Eleven and FamilyMart) a 3-minute walk away, the Ogino supermarket 4 minutes on foot, the Sun Road drugstore 3 minutes on foot, and the shore of Lake Kawaguchi a 5-minute walk away.
