One review from a three-generation family with children aged 2 and 7 says they could relax in a large, clean house. The kitchen and tableware also seem easy to use. The living, dining and kitchen area has a large island kitchen with a refrigerator, a microwave, a toaster oven, a rice cooker (10-cup capacity), an electric hot-water kettle, a coffee maker and a blender. The private garden on the grounds has a covered barbecue area, a glamping tent, a hammock, a forest hut, a swing and a slackline. Because the whole villa is rented to you, the space is yours alone with family and friends, and children can run around freely. Liburan Fuji Narusawa is a whole-villa rental about 8 minutes by car from the Kawaguchiko IC, with just two buildings standing in a forest of about 5,000 sq m. The roomy layout has a 21-tatami-mat living, dining and kitchen area, a Japanese-style tatami room and a second-floor lounge, and each villa comes with a covered barbecue area, a glamping tent, a hammock, a swing and a slackline. Three-generation families also get one child free of charge as a perk.
Liburan Fuji Narusawa is a private villa that opened as a new build in July 2017, in the forest of Narusawa-mura, about 5 km from the Kawaguchiko IC along Route 139 toward Lake Motosu. Only two buildings, Liburan Sora Terrace and Liburan Hoshi Terrace, stand on the roughly 5,000 sq m grounds, each with its own private garden of about 1,500 sq m. Each villa is rented as a whole, making it a hideaway where friends and family can stay without worrying about other guests.
Rooms
Each villa has two floors. The first floor has a 21-tatami-mat living, dining and kitchen area and a Japanese-style tatami room, along with a bath, a toilet with a washing function, a washbasin and a changing room, and the terrace looks out over the forest. The second floor has a 12-tatami-mat Japanese-style tatami room with a 5-tatami-mat stargazing lounge, a Western-style room with Simmons beds, and a toilet with a washing function and a washbasin. The layout is spacious enough for large families and three-generation trips. The buildings are 117 sq m (Sora Terrace) and 123 sq m (Hoshi Terrace), and up to 13 guests can stay.
Facilities
The villas are well equipped. There is heating and air conditioning in the living, dining and kitchen area and in each room, a large TV that can stream Netflix and YouTube, a Blu-ray player, a Bose speaker with built-in Bluetooth, an island kitchen, an air purifier, a refrigerator, a microwave, a toaster oven, a rice cooker, a coffee maker and a blender, plus a full set of cooking utensils and tableware. The amenities are generous too: bath towels (for adults), nightwear (for adults), face towels (2 for children), body soap, 3 kinds of shampoo, 3 kinds of conditioner, facial cleanser, toner, milky lotion and assorted bath salts. For children under school age, 2 face towels and a toothbrush are also provided.

There are plenty of family-friendly items to borrow free of charge, including a crib, a children's chair, a cooler box, mosquito coils, a sewing kit, a first-aid kit, a phone charger, an HDMI cable and a Bluetooth stereo. You can also freely borrow the coffee machine set up at the front desk (espresso and cafe latte), large platters for parties, insect repellent spray, and play equipment and card games.
Activities and Experiences
Outdoors, you can enjoy the grounds with a covered barbecue area, a glamping tent, a hammock, a forest hut, a swing, a slackline and more. Barbecuing is from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. (until 9 p.m. from November to March). A plan for arranging ingredients is also offered, and the villa can place orders on your behalf for catering using local ingredients, a visiting chef (Chinese, or Japanese and Western cuisine), Japanese-style hors d'oeuvre platters and more. From mid-July through August, you can also go blueberry picking at a partner farm (1,000 yen for adults, 500 yen for elementary school children and 200 yen for children under school age).

The villa buildings come with an open-air bath, available from mid-March to late November (closed in winter). For bathing in winter, a special discount ticket is provided for Fuji Chobo no Yu Yurari, 2 km away (800 yen instead of 1,400 yen on weekdays), so you can head to the day-use onsen without bringing anything.
Other Information
Rates are charged per villa, at the same price for up to 8 guests. For three-generation families, one child stays free of charge. Co-sleeping for children from age 0 up to (but not including) age 2 is a flat 1,650 yen regardless of the day of the week. For groups of more than 10, children under school age (age 2 until they start elementary school) pay 50% of the adult rate, and elementary and junior high school children count as one person each, like adults. Under the weekday rate for small groups, elementary school children pay 70% of the adult rate. Early check-in (from 1 p.m.) and late checkout are also available outside peak periods.
Supermarkets such as Ogino, Selva and Maxvalu, and convenience stores such as the Lawson Narusawa store and the Seven-Eleven Otawa store, are close by, which makes longer family stays easy. Parties by university students are not accepted, so the atmosphere stays quiet.
