Rakuten STAY Fuji Kawaguchiko Station is a set of whole-building maisonette condominiums with views of Mount Fuji. All 9 units are independent private spaces measuring 79 to 99 sq m and can accommodate up to 10 guests. Each has a kitchen and a washing machine, which is convenient for family stays. Children who co-sleep also count toward the capacity, so larger groups need to book 2 units. Guests under 18 cannot stay on their own. Except for Room 108, Mount Fuji can also be seen from the bathroom.
Rooms
There are 9 whole-building maisonette condominiums in total, each an entirely independent, fully private space. Every unit is at least 79 sq m, and one measures 99.46 sq m, with capacity for up to 10 guests. There are 6 room types in all, including units with beds only, units with a raised platform area where futons can be laid out, and pet-friendly units. In Building 108, the raised platform can double as a play area for children when it is not being used as a sleeping space. The kitchen is stocked with cookware and tableware, and there are 2 washbasins and 2 toilets, a layout designed with larger families in mind. Every unit also has its own washing machine, along with a projector and a theater sound system for enjoying films and children's content.
Dining
Plans without breakfast or dinner are the standard, so meals are mainly self-catered in the kitchen. Depending on the plan, you can choose a BBQ set or a sukiyaki set for dinner, and some plans include French toast and a smoothie for breakfast. Ingredients for the number of guests are placed in the in-room refrigerator in advance, and adults and children are served the same menu, so there is no separate children's menu. Bath
Every unit has a bathroom with a jet bath, and except for Building 108, Mount Fuji can also be seen from the bathroom. Each unit has 1 bathroom and 1 shower room, along with 2 washbasins and 2 toilets.
Family-friendly features
The accommodation plans include child rates. Stays that exceed each unit's maximum capacity are not permitted, and children who co-sleep count toward that capacity. Groups that exceed it need to split into 2 units and book each one within its capacity. Guests under 18 also cannot stay on their own. Pajamas are not provided, so bring your own, including for children. Each unit is also stocked with disinfectant and a thermometer. In case a child suddenly becomes unwell at night or on a holiday, information is provided for the Pediatric Emergency Telephone Consultation Service, which you can call for advice.
