Lake Villa Kawaguchiko is a European-style villa and cottage rental in the Kawaguchi area of Fujikawaguchiko, on the shore of Lake Kawaguchiko. The lakeshore, a spectacular Mount Fuji viewpoint, is a 3-minute walk away, and the setting is full of seasonal character, with the kochia of Oishi Park and cornfields spreading out nearby. In summer you can enjoy the kochia at Oishi Park, and in autumn the cosmos flowers.

Spacious 2LDK and 3LDK Maisonette Layouts

Units come as 2LDK maisonettes (two rooms plus a living-dining-kitchen area, on two levels) and 3LDK types (three rooms plus a living-dining-kitchen area). The 3LDK has an open atrium with high ceilings for an airy feel. Each building has two washbasin areas and two toilets with a warm-water bidet function, so families and groups can stay comfortably. The buildings are yours alone, so you can take your time in private.

A Communal Bath with an Open-Air Bath Looking Out on Mount Fuji

According to the hotel, there is a communal bath with an open-air bath where you can soak while looking out at majestic Mount Fuji, open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and again from 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. It is an unusual setup: even though the accommodation is made up of separate villa buildings, families and groups can also bathe together in the shared communal bath on the property.

Barbecues and a Self-Catering Kitchen

Barbecues can be enjoyed on the grounds, and there are plenty of meal plans as well, including the "Lake Villa de Niku Fest" (meat festival) plan, which delivers Japanese Black wagyu beef from Himawari-tei, a well-known yakiniku restaurant in Kawaguchiko, to your room, and a premium shabu-shabu hot pot plan. The kitchen facilities inside the cottages also let you cook for yourselves.

Breakfast Food Truck and Experience Programs

Rococo Truck, a breakfast-only food truck produced by the property and loaded with local vegetables, serves breakfast made with local produce. The popular "Lake Villa de Cave Exploration Tour," created together with a local adventure guide, includes shuttle service and takes you by headlamp into a lava cave at the foot of Mount Fuji that is not open to the public; families can enjoy it at a level matched to their children's ages. There are also summer-only shaved ice (kakigori) and Niku Fest events.

Access

From Kawaguchiko Station on the Fujikyuko Line, take the sightseeing bus (Red Line) for 20 minutes, get off at bus stop No. 16, and walk 3 minutes. It is about 8 minutes by car from the Kawaguchiko IC on the Chuo Expressway. You can also reach the property from Kawaguchiko Station on the retro-style sightseeing bus, and a stroll along the lakeshore is part of the fun.
