Kawaguchiko Park Hotel

Kawaguchiko Park Hotel is a resort hotel standing on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi in the Fujikawaguchiko onsen area. It has built up more than 70 years of history alongside majestic Mount Fuji and a lake that changes its face with every season. A cherry blossom festival is held nearby in spring, and the hotel is a well-loved base for seeing Lake Kawaguchi through the year.

Onsen and Communal Bath

The first floor has a communal bath and an open-air bath fed by 100% natural onsen. The water comes from Fuyo no Yu (Fuyo no On), a natural onsen drawn from the sacred waters of Mount Fuji. The types of spring water include alkaline simple spring, calcium-sodium sulfate spring and salt-containing gypsum spring, said to be beneficial for neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain and recovery from fatigue. The baths are separate for men and women, and bathing hours are 3 p.m. to midnight and 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. the next morning. The open-air bath has a roof, so you can bathe without worrying about the weather. There is no sauna. Staying guests can use the onsen free of charge.

Rooms

Guest rooms include non-smoking rooms, and cribs are available. Some rooms also have a microwave, which must be reserved in advance - a thoughtful touch for stays with young children.

Family-Friendly Features

The hotel is well equipped to support stays with babies and young children. Children's slippers, yukata and pajamas are available to borrow, baby food can be prepared on request, and baby food and diapers can be bought on site. Children's tableware is provided, and hot water at 60°C for formula can be brought to your room. Strollers are available to borrow free of charge, and bed fences and bed guards are also available in limited numbers.

Dining

Dinner options include a beef steak course, and breakfast may feature hoto, the local specialty noodle stew, both of which are well received. Meals accommodating food allergies can also be arranged.

Access

The hotel is about a 17-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Station on the Fujikyuko Line, or you can use the free shuttle: contact the hotel after you arrive at Kawaguchiko Station, with pickups from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and drop-offs at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. By car, it is about 10 minutes from the Kawaguchiko Interchange on the Chuo Expressway. Along with free parking for about 30 cars, there is an electric vehicle charging station.
