Hakone Susukinohara Ichinoyu is an Ichinoyu group ryokan in Sengokuhara, where every room in both the main building and the annex has an onsen open-air bath. The communal bath offers an open-air bath fed by Owakudani onsen water and an indoor bath of alkaline simple onsen. Baby amenities are free of charge, a baby bath and baby shampoo are available to borrow, and on the Welcome Baby Plan you may bring your own baby food and have it warmed. It is about 30 minutes by car from Hakone-Yumoto Station.
Rooms
The main building and the annex have 67 rooms in total, and every one of them has an onsen open-air bath. The main building has the Twin Japanese-Style Room with Open-Air Bath, a Japanese-style twin with low beds (29 square meters, for 1-2 guests), and the family-friendly Japanese-Style Room with Open-Air Bath (33 square meters, for 2-4 guests). Both are on the first or second floor, and since there is no elevator, you reach them by stairs. The annex has the Japanese-Western Room with Open-Air Bath, Mountain Side (24.6 square meters) and the Japanese-Western Room with Open-Air Bath, Marshland Side (24.7 square meters, for 1-3 guests), where the room's sofa can be used as a sofa bed; the annex does have an elevator. Some rooms in the annex have an open-air bath fed by a sulfur spring.
Dining
Breakfast and dinner are both served in the restaurant on the first floor of each building, the main building and the annex, and children are served a kids' menu. On the Welcome Baby Plan, commercially prepared baby food can be provided, up to one serving per child at dinner and one at breakfast; you may also bring your own, and the restaurant will warm it for you.
Baths and Onsen
The communal bath is on the second floor of the main building, where you can enjoy two kinds of bathing: an open-air bath fed by Owakudani onsen water and an indoor bath of alkaline simple onsen. The types of spring water include an alkaline simple spring and a calcium-sodium sulfate spring, said to be beneficial for joint pain, muscle pain and neuralgia. On top of that, because every room has an onsen open-air bath, parents and children can bathe on their own without worrying about other guests.
