Overview
Hotel Green Plaza Hakone is a resort hotel in Sengokuhara, Hakone, Kanagawa. The “Standard Japanese-Western Room” (28.8 square meters, capacity 1 to 4 guests) has two Simmons low beds. When used by 3 or more guests, guests make up the futon bedding themselves. The 36-square-meter Japanese-style tatami room, which combines an 8-mat and a 6-mat room, holds 2 to 5 guests and suits families well. There is also a 54-square-meter Japanese-style tatami room for 1 to 6 guests with a private semi-open-air bath. This bath uses the same Sengokuhara Onsen water as the communal bath. The Asian Twin Room also has a private open-air bath, but it uses heated water rather than onsen water. All rooms include a television, refrigerator, electric kettle, air purifier with humidifier, and hair dryer. The refrigerators are provided empty, so baby food, drinks, and other items can be purchased at the shop and stored inside.
Meals
Dinner is a “Premium Buffet” with about 50 dishes prepared at a live kitchen. Freshly prepared items include sushi, tempura, and roast beef, while sweets and soft drinks are available without limit. Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet served from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. The buffet dishes are labeled for the 8 major allergens, making it easier to choose food when dining with children who have allergies. However, the dishes are prepared in the same kitchen as other menu items, so small amounts of allergens may be mixed in.

There are two communal baths and two open-air baths using the hotel's own Sengokuhara Onsen spring water. From there, take the Izu Hakone Bus for about 35 minutes to the Ubako bus stop, followed by about a 5-minute walk. By car, the hotel is about 25 minutes from the Gotemba IC on the Tomei Expressway. A free shuttle is available from the Ubako bus stop (Izu Hakone Bus), Ubako Station (Hakone Ropeway), and Minami-onsenso bus stop (Odakyu Hakone Tozan Bus). After arriving, guests can call to request pickup, but advance reservations are not available. Since there is one shuttle vehicle, guests may have to wait their turn. The hotel is about a 3-minute walk from Ubako Station on the Hakone Ropeway, with some mountain paths along the way. Parking is available for 100 cars and is free for guests. Shuttle buses to nearby tourist attractions are currently suspended.
