Hotel Green Plaza Hakone is a resort hotel in Sengokuhara, Hakone, Kanagawa. Rooms

The Standard Japanese-Western Room (28.8 sq m, for 1 to 4 guests) has Simmons low beds, and when 3 or more guests stay, guests lay out the futon bedding themselves. The Japanese-style tatami room (36 sq m, for 2 to 5 guests), made up of two connecting rooms of 8 and 6 tatami mats, suits family stays well. There is also a Japanese-style tatami room with its own semi-open-air bath (54 sq m, for 1 to 6 guests); that bath uses the same Sengokuhara Onsen water as the communal bath. The Asian Twin Room also has its own open-air bath, but it is filled with heated water rather than onsen water. Every room has a television, refrigerator, electric kettle, air purifier with a humidifier and a hair dryer. The refrigerators are provided empty, so you can buy baby food, drinks and other items at the shop and keep them chilled.
Dining
Dinner is a Premium Buffet of about 50 dishes prepared at a live kitchen, with nigiri sushi, tempura and roast beef served freshly made, plus all-you-can-eat sweets and unlimited soft drinks. Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet served from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. The buffet dishes are labeled for the 8 major allergens, making it easier to choose dishes when dining with a child who has allergies. Note, however, that the dishes are prepared in the same kitchen as other menu items, so trace amounts of allergens may be mixed in.
Baths and Onsen
There are 2 communal baths and 2 open-air baths using Sengokuhara Onsen water from the hotel's own spring source, and on clear days guests in both the men's and women's baths can see Mount Fuji while soaking. A sauna is also available. Access
From Shinjuku, the Odakyu Romancecar reaches Hakone-Yumoto Station in as little as 90 minutes; from there it is about 35 minutes by Izu Hakone Bus to the Ubako bus stop, then about a 5-minute walk. By car, it is about 25 minutes from the Gotemba IC on the Tomei Expressway. A free shuttle runs from the Ubako bus stop (Izu Hakone Bus), Ubako Station (Hakone Ropeway) and the Minami-onsenso bus stop (Odakyu Hakone Tozan Bus): call after you arrive and the hotel will come to collect you, though it cannot be reserved in advance and there is only one shuttle vehicle, so you may have to wait your turn. It is about a 3-minute walk from Ubako Station on the Hakone Ropeway to the hotel, with some mountain path along the way. Parking is free for guests, with space for 100 cars. Shuttle buses to nearby sightseeing spots are currently suspended.
