Overview

BLANC FUJI is a nature-integrated villa-style hotel on the banks of the clear Katsura River. It offers three types of accommodation: the Sauna Villa with a private sauna, the Spa Villa with an in-room open-air bath, and the Living Villa with a living space. Each villa is a completely separate building, so families can settle in without worrying about other guests. The hotel also has a restaurant serving wood-fired cooking made with seasonal ingredients from Yamanashi. The official booking form lists a category for children ages 0 to 6 who have not yet started elementary school, so families with young children can stay.

A nature-integrated villa hotel set beside the clear Katsura River in Fujiyoshida. The stay is built around experiencing nature with all five senses: taking in Mount Fuji through the changing seasons, listening to the quiet murmur of the Katsura River, feeling the warmth of wood and stone, and savoring meals made with local ingredients. Every guest room is a separate villa.

Villa Types

There are three types of villa. The Spa Villa has an in-room open-air bath where you can soak while listening to the river. The Sauna Villa has a private sauna, with time on the wood deck to reach that deeply relaxed post-sauna state known as totonou. The Living Villa has a generous living space, well suited to families and groups spending time together, and a barbecue plan on the wood deck can be chosen as well. Every guest room has large windows, natural-material amenities and high-quality bedding.

Dining

The on-site restaurant serves wood-fired cooking that makes generous use of seasonal ingredients from Yamanashi. Meals must be added by email (info@blanc-fuji.com) by midnight four days before the date of your stay. The menu changes with the season, so please inquire when confirming your reservation.

Accepting Children

The booking form on the official website includes a category for children ages 0 to 6 who have not yet started elementary school, so families with young children can stay. That said, this is an adult-oriented property whose appeal is its completely private space, so we recommend contacting the hotel directly in advance to confirm whether dedicated facilities such as cribs or baby food service are available.

Facility Details

A coin laundry (fee applies), a shuttle bus (from Fujisan Station by advance reservation; it may not be available at certain times), and vending machines. If you will arrive later than your scheduled check-in time, you must contact the hotel.

Which Families It Suits

This hotel suits families who want to share an out-of-the-ordinary experience surrounded by nature with their children, in a completely private villa. The living space of the Living Villa in particular is designed for relaxing together as a family, and combining it with the barbecue plan makes for a full overnight stay. The kitchen accommodates allergies as far as possible, but because dishes are prepared in the same kitchen as other menu items, trace amounts of allergens may be introduced during processing or cooking. Please be sure to contact the hotel in advance to discuss your needs.
