The easiest choice for a family with children is the 21 sq m Comfort Double: it holds one bed made from two 110 cm-wide beds joined together, 220 cm wide by 195 cm long, and sleeps 2 adults with up to 2 children co-sleeping. The Moderate Twin (27 sq m) and the 23 sq m Twin each have two beds 120 cm wide by 195 cm long, and both can take up to 2 children co-sleeping. Adding an extra bed (85 cm by 190 cm) to the Moderate Twin turns it into a triple room for 3 guests. The Comfort Twin is 21 sq m with two 110 cm-wide beds, and the Double Room is 19 sq m for 2 guests, with one 140 cm-wide bed, a sofa and a tea table. The Superior Twin, a corner room on the top floor, the 7th, is a special room of 27 sq m with two beds, but Ikyu.com states that co-sleeping is not available there, and Rakuten Travel's description of the same room also says children cannot use it. Access
The hotel is about 7 minutes by car from Banshu-Ako Station on the JR Ako Line and about 7 minutes by car from the Ako IC on the Sanyo Expressway. A free shuttle bus runs between the south exit rotary at Banshu-Ako Station and the hotel: two pickup runs at 3:10 p.m. and 4:10 p.m., which must be reserved by phone by noon on the day, and three drop-off runs at 8:25 a.m., 9:15 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., which you sign up for at the front desk when you check in. Parking is free and needs no reservation. There are 25 spaces in the hotel parking lot, 50 in the second lot and 20 in the third lot, and large vehicles can park in the second lot. A convenience store is about a 3-minute walk away, and the entrance to Ako Seaside Park about a 5-minute walk. Ako Seaside Park has an animal petting village and an amusement park with a Ferris wheel, and the shallow Karasen Sun Beach is about a 15-minute walk away, where you can also go clam digging in spring.
