Overview
Kobe Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers is a 267-room city hotel on Rokko Island in Kobe. Staying guests can enjoy Hamasen, a natural onsen fed 100% by the hotel's own spring on the property, at no charge. The hotel is also set up for stays with children, with a private-hire onsen, cribs available to borrow, a nursing room and a family floor where you can take off your shoes and relax. It is easily reached by the Rokko Liner from JR Sumiyoshi Station, and parking is free for 24 hours.
Rooms
Guest rooms are spread across 6 types of floors, 267 rooms in all. The standard Moderate Twin (28 sq m) is a bright room on the south side with two beds measuring 110 cm wide by 207 cm long. The Family Floor is designed with young children in mind: Deluxe Twin A is 36 sq m on the north side, with beds 120 cm by 207 cm, and when 3 guests stay, a loft bed can be used as well (limited to children under school age). Because of the way twin rooms are built, the two beds cannot be pushed together, so one bed can be placed against the wall and a bed guard provided for the other (limited in number). Rooms with a capacity of 2 cannot take an extra bed, so families should check in advance which room types can accommodate them. Children's pajamas (3 sizes) and slippers (2 sizes) are also kept on hand in limited numbers. All rooms became non-smoking on December 1, 2025.
Dining
Breakfast is a Japanese, Western and Chinese buffet at the first-floor terrace restaurant Garden Cafe, with live cooking such as omelets prepared by a chef in front of you. Children under elementary school age eat the breakfast buffet free of charge, up to the number of accompanying adults; a charge applies only for children beyond that number. Garden Cafe also has a kids' corner that families will appreciate.
Baths and Onsen
The hotel's own spring, welling up from 1,600 m beneath the property, is served without heating and flows directly from the source as Kobe Rokko Onsen "Hamasen," and guests can bathe there at no charge during their stay. There is also a private-hire onsen, Nagomi-yu (60 minutes for 5,500 yen, for staying guests only), where a family can take their time together. The Japanese Spa Suite and the Japanese-style tatami room with a private open-air bath have an onsen open-air bath in the room, so a family can soak on its own without using the communal bath. The fitness and sports facility The Bay Club also has an indoor pool, but use costs 2,200 yen, guests under 20 cannot use the training gym, and guests under 16 cannot use the sauna.
