The spring water is a sodium-calcium sulfate and chloride spring (hypotonic, weakly alkaline, high-temperature), and Fuji no Yu and Kouka no Yu are diluted with water and run on a recirculating system. The communal baths Kouka no Yu and Iwaburo alternate between men and women: women only from 3 p.m. to midnight, men only from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Iwaburo, the open-air rock bath, has been closed for the time being since August 14, 2026. Children aged 7 and over or 120 cm and taller use the bath for their own gender. There is no private-hire bath.
