Guest rooms are mainly Japanese-style tatami rooms of 8 tatami mats or more, and up to 3 children can co-sleep. Guest rooms are mainly Japanese-style tatami rooms of 8 tatami mats or more, ranging from roomy 10-mat and 12.5-mat tatami rooms and Japanese-Western rooms to rooms with an open-air bath and special rooms. Tatami rooms of 8 mats or more come with two room keys per room. As a rule, every guest room has an air purifier with a humidifying function. Only the special rooms and semi-special rooms have beds; in the standard rooms a rollaway bed can be added, though numbers are limited, and you need to request one when booking. Since April 2022, all guest rooms have been non-smoking.
Dining
Dinner is a seasonal Japanese meal built around a Japanese-style bouillabaisse hot pot and seiro-steamed premium select beef with seasonal vegetables, cooked in a bamboo steamer basket and served in the restaurant or a dining hall. On plans with one night and two meals, dishes for preschool-age children are prepared, and a kids' meal can also be chosen. Breakfast is a Japanese-Western buffet with omelets made in front of you, handmade waffles and ara-jiru (a soup made from fish trimmings), and children's tableware is provided, so you can put together a children's plate. Food allergies can be accommodated as far as the kitchen is able if you discuss them when booking, but they cannot be handled on the day. At the breakfast buffet, the 7 major allergens - wheat, egg, dairy, shrimp, crab, buckwheat and peanut - are labeled. You may bring in ready-made retort baby food and allergy-friendly meals, and baby food can be warmed for you if you ask in advance, though the kitchen cannot cook baby food or low-salt meals individually.

The ryokan's own spring rises from 1,000 m underground and can be enjoyed in the communal bath Ryokusui no Yu and the open-air bath Kagaribi no Yu. There is no age restriction on bathing for babies and toddlers, but children who are not yet out of diapers need to be considerate of other bathers. There are several steps at the entrance to the communal bath, and reaching the open-air bath means climbing 40 steps, so the baths are not barrier-free. There is no private-hire bath, but the men's and women's toilets just before the third-floor communal bath each have one diaper-changing table. There is also a room with an open-air bath, Hoshi Monogatari, though in-room open-air baths are not onsen. For day-use bathing, children from age 4 through elementary school pay 750 yen.

An elevator reaches the guest-room entrances, the communal bath entrance and the breakfast venue, but there are steps inside the guest rooms and inside the communal bath, and stairs are unavoidable for the open-air bath and some banquet rooms. A movable ramp is set up at the front entrance so you can get in and out safely with a stroller. In the garden, children can play on the wide lawn, feed the carp in summer and gather acorns and other nuts in autumn. Note that there is no pool.
Access
A free shuttle bus links the East Exit of Sendai Station with the ryokan by reservation, departing Sendai Station East Exit at 3 p.m. and the ryokan at 10 a.m., and taking about 40 minutes. By car it is about 15 minutes from the Sendai-Minami Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway and about 30 minutes from central Sendai. Free parking for 300 cars is available with no reservation required.
