Only 3 rooms come with a semi-open-air bath: Yaeasahi is a Japanese-Western room with 2 beds and an 8-tatami Japanese-style area, while Musashino has a 10-tatami Japanese-style area, a living room and an octagonal semi-open-air bath. Dinner is normally a Japanese set meal served in the restaurant or the dining hall, starting between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. (dinner cannot be prepared after 7:30 p.m.), and breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Children are served a Japanese set meal along the same lines as the adults' meal, while children under school age receive a kids' meal with dishes such as Hamburg steak and rolled omelet. For children's rates, elementary school children pay 70% of the adult rate; children from age 1 to under school age pay 2,200 yen to 3,300 yen depending on whether meals and bedding are included; children under age 1 pay 1,100 yen for bedding only, and stay free of charge if neither meals nor bedding is needed. Some plans include meals at the dining venue Omoi no Mama, which has semi-private seating and generous space, so families can relax without worrying about other guests. Face towels and bath towels are provided in the guest rooms, so bring them with you when you head to the baths. By Miyagi Kotsu bus, take the bus bound for Akiu Onsen from bus stop 8 at the West Exit of Sendai Station and get off at Akiu Onsen Yumoto, which takes about 50 minutes. A free shuttle bus from the East Exit of Sendai Station runs daily, but advance reservation is required, and use is limited to 8 guests per group. Free parking is available for 400 vehicles.
