Rooms
All rooms are non-smoking, and there are 22 guest rooms in total. Irodori-tei on the 1st floor (a Japanese-style tatami room with a bath, for 1 to 4 guests) is designed for families with children, with a play mat, wooden toys and a beanbag cushion. The detached rooms on the 1st floor (Japanese-style tatami rooms with an open-air onsen bath: two of 10 tatami mats and one of 12.5 tatami mats) connect to the main building by an indoor corridor, and their bathrooms have a tatami-floored washing area. Each detached room is a standalone building, so there is no need to worry about noise carrying to the next room, which suits families whose babies may cry at night, though the sea is hard to see from these rooms. The Ocean View Twin with a semi-open-air bath on the 3rd and 4th floors (18 sq m, 1 to 3 guests) is a Hollywood twin, with two semi-double beds pushed together, and its sofa doubles as an extra bed. The 2nd floor has Kirameki-tei (a Japanese-style tatami room with a bath, 1 to 4 guests), the Monya Suite (a Japanese-Western room, 2 to 5 guests) and a two-room Japanese-style tatami suite (10 and 6 tatami mats, 2 to 5 guests). On the 3rd and 4th floors is the spacious Umi Ichibo (full sea view) Japanese-style tatami room (12 tatami mats, 1 to 5 guests). The Umi to Sora no Twin (Sea and Sky Twin; 2nd floor, 24 sq m, 1 to 2 guests) is for adults only: co-sleeping is not possible, and the room is not available to guests traveling with children.
Dining
Dinner is served in one of three venues, assigned by the ryokan: the private-room-style dining room Tsuki no Za, the fully private Hohoemi-za, or the tatami-floored Wafu-za. The exceptions are the Yurikago plan, where dinner is served in your room, and the Koshitsu Yurikago plan, where both breakfast and dinner are served in a private dining room. Tsuki no Za is for adults only, at dinner only. Wafu-za has a play corner at its entrance, with children's chairs in various sizes, tableware for sharing out portions, and toys. In-room dining for dinner may be offered only in rooms with a bath (1st and 2nd floors). Kids' meals require a reservation, at 4,400 yen for a dinner and breakfast set. Access
By car, it is about 30 minutes from Tomiura IC, at the end of the Tateyama Expressway (Futtsu-Tateyama Road), and free parking is available for 20 cars. From the Awa-Shirahama highway bus stop, a free pickup is available if you call (3 p.m. to 9 p.m.). A rugged rocky shore lies right in front of the ryokan, and the Nojimazaki Lighthouse is right in front as well. Check-in is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and checkout is at 10 a.m.
