Amatsu Kominato Onsen Yado Nakaya is a ryokan on the seafront at Kamogawa on the Boso coast. Every room has an ocean view, and Jogasaki Coast, right in front, is a 1-minute walk along a promenade, with sea swimming and rock-pool play in summer. The natural onsen, drawn from a spring source on the grounds, feeds separate communal baths and open-air baths for men and women, along with the private-hire open-air bath Hamachidori. Alongside the 15 standard Japanese-style tatami rooms called Nostalgic Roman there are Japanese-Western rooms with a semi-open-air bath, and the number of children who may co-sleep and the conditions for children's rates differ by plan. Rooms
There are 34 guest rooms, and every one of them faces the sea with an ocean view. The standard Japanese-style tatami rooms, Nostalgic Roman, are on the 2nd and 3rd floors, with a 10-tatami-mat Japanese-style room plus a bath and toilet. On the upper floors, Ya comes either as a 39 sq m Japanese-style tatami room for 2 to 4 guests or as a 39 sq m Western-style room for 2 guests with two Simmons beds measuring 120 cm wide, 200 cm long and 40 cm high. Hanzo, which has a semi-open-air bath fed by the spring source on the grounds, is 39 sq m in both its Western-style and Japanese-style versions, while Hoshizora no Uta and Yubae no Umi are 58 sq m Japanese-Western rooms for 2 to 4 guests, and it is these larger Japanese-Western rooms that are the likely choice for a family. Children aged 12 and under, on the other hand, cannot stay in Roman no Uta or Umibe no Machi, which have an open-air bath flowing straight from the source. Inside the building, you take off your shoes at the entrance.

There are four dining areas in the building, each with its own character: Nagisa, Hamabe no Monogatari, Rin and Heian no Ma. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. and breakfast at 7:30 a.m., 8 a.m. or 8:30 a.m., so families with children can take an early sitting. Baths and Onsen
The spring rises on the grounds, and the Japan Onsen Association has certified it as a natural onsen. The spring water is a cold mineral spring containing sodium chloride, sulfate and bicarbonate. There are separate onsen communal baths for men and women and separate open-air baths for men and women, open from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. the next morning and from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.; bathing is not possible from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., when they are cleaned. The private-hire open-air bath Hamachidori costs 2,160 yen for a 45-minute session, reserved at the front desk on the day. Children who are not yet out of diapers are asked to refrain from getting into the bathtubs and may use only the washing area. A bathing tax of 150 yen applies from junior high school age. There is no sauna.

The ryokan is 5 minutes by car from Awa-Kominato Station on the JR Sotobo Line, and a shuttle to and from Awa-Kominato Station is provided. For Kamogawa Sea World, only a single 10 a.m. drop-off is accepted. The ryokan's guide to the surrounding area gives about 10 minutes by car to Kamogawa Sea World, about 10 minutes on foot to the Tonneru Aquarium and about 12 minutes on foot to Amatsu Shinmeigu.
