Kyukamura Tateyama takes pride in its ocean views from every room and its natural onsen, Hanaumi no Yu. There are plenty of experiences the whole family can enjoy, from the Boso Shokusai buffet to the nighttime stargazing sessions. Rooms
There are 77 guest rooms in three types: Japanese-style tatami rooms (44 rooms, all with a bath and toilet), Western-style rooms (27 rooms) and Japanese-Western rooms (6 rooms). The Japanese-style tatami rooms are 10 tatami mats in size, with futon bedding on Nishikawa's high-quality AiR mattresses, and sleep up to 4 guests. The Western-style rooms can take one extra bed and sleep up to 3 guests. The Japanese-Western rooms have 2 beds, and with futon bedding laid on the tatami area they sleep up to 3 guests. Children aged 4 and over count toward the number of guests, and if you would like bedding for a child aged 3 or under, you need to let the hotel know. Every room has an ocean view, and some rooms have a flight of 6 steps in front of them.
Dining
Dinner is either the Boso Shokusai buffet or a seasonal kaiseki course, and breakfast is the Boso Shokusai buffet. At the dinner buffet, the 5 or more kinds of nigiri sushi and the 3 or more kinds of sashimi that change daily are popular, while the open kitchen turns out fried chicken and pasta that children love, along with kids' curry for younger children. The dining hall has children's bibs, rice bowls, chopsticks, spoons and forks, as well as portable bassinets for infants. Baby food is not provided, but you may bring your own and warm it up as you like in the microwave in the first-floor café corner. If anyone in your party has a food allergy, let the hotel know in advance and they will accommodate it as far as they can.
Baths and Onsen
The communal bath, Hanaumi no Yu, is a natural sodium chloride and bicarbonate onsen, and from the fully glass-walled bathing area and the open-air bath you can look out toward the Miura Peninsula and Mount Fuji. Children aged 7 and over use the bath for their own gender, and there are no valuables lockers at the communal bath.
