Minshuku Yamato is a family-run minshuku (a small family-run guesthouse) in Oishi, on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchi. It looks straight out at Mount Fuji across the water, and with the natural scenery of every season it has long been a favorite base for sightseeing around Lake Kawaguchi and the Fuji Five Lakes. Fuji-Q Highland and Thomas Land are 20 minutes away by car and Fuji Safari Park 60 minutes by car, and the owner welcomes families with children who are using the minshuku as a sightseeing base.
Minshuku Yamato is a small, family-run guesthouse in the Oishi district on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchi. Access and parking: about 20 minutes from Kawaguchiko Station by car or bus. Parking for 20 cars is free and needs no reservation. Check-in is from 3 p.m., with last check-in at 7 p.m., and checkout is at 10 a.m. Credit cards cannot be used. The minshuku offers fax transmission, handles courier deliveries, and has a multipurpose room, a banquet hall and a meeting room. Co-sleeping is available for children under 1 year old; children aged 1 and over must be booked with futon bedding, at an additional charge of 1,000 yen.
