Matsue Excel Hotel Tokyu is a business hotel about a 3-minute walk from the north exit of JR Matsue Station. Babies and toddlers who co-sleep stay free of charge as long as they use neither meals nor bedding, and cribs are lent free of charge (numbers are limited, and they cannot be used in some room types). The Deluxe Twin accommodates 1 to 4 guests, so it can accommodate family stays as well. All rooms are non-smoking, and guests who wish to smoke use the smoking booths on the 4th and 7th floors. Air conditioning is controlled centrally for the whole building, so it switches between heating only and cooling only depending on the season, and the windows cannot be opened for safety reasons. There are no barrier-free guest rooms, but wheelchairs are available to borrow.

Breakfast is a Japanese-Western buffet served from 7 to 10 a.m. in the first-floor restaurant MOSORO or in the second-floor banquet room. Along with a wide selection of egg dishes, meat dishes, side dishes, curry and bread, it features local ingredients such as dried nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), deep-fried conger eel from Shimane Prefecture and Nita rice. Breakfast is 2,800 yen for adults and 1,800 yen for elementary school children, and free for children under school age.
