Rooms

This purely Japanese-style ryokan has 70 rooms in total. The Shikitei special room on the second floor (22.5 tatami mats, with a 7.5-tatami adjoining room) consists of two connected rooms overlooking the Tamayu River, but it has no bath of its own, so guests use the communal bath. The Kasentei rooms with an open-air bath are the only 2 such rooms at the ryokan, each a Japanese-style room with a hinoki-wood open-air bath in a small garden. The Kaikatei rooms with a garden are also limited to 2 rooms on the first floor and face a Japanese garden. The Shikitei standard rooms (10 tatami mats) all face the Tamayu River and have a bath and toilet. The Kaikatei standard rooms (10 to 14.5 tatami mats) all have a toilet and bath. Reaching the Shogetsutei old-wing Japanese-style tatami rooms (8 to 12 tatami mats) and the Kasentei old-wing Japanese-style tatami rooms (6.5 to 10 tatami mats) may involve a passage with about 20 steps, fitted with a handrail, so care is needed when moving around with a stroller. The Shikitei Western-style twin room (13 sq m) has no view.
