Rooms
Karuizawa Marriott Hotel has 142 rooms across three buildings: the Main Wing, the North Wing and the dog-friendly cottages. In the Main Wing, the Superior Twin is 32 sq m and sleeps 1 to 3 guests, and the Superior King is 32 sq m and sleeps 2 to 3 guests; in both, a sofa bed is provided when three guests stay. The Japanese-Western room, added in June 2026, is 33 sq m and sleeps 2 to 4 guests, with futon bedding from the third guest onward. The 71 sq m Junior Suite and the 78 sq m Executive Suite each sleep 2 to 5 guests, again with futon bedding from the third guest onward. In the North Wing, every room has its own onsen bath. Its 39 sq m Premier Rooms come either with an onsen open-air bath or with an onsen view bath, and both sleep 2 to 4 guests, with futon bedding from the third guest onward. Families can choose the room type that fits their numbers.
Dining
Breakfast is served buffet-style at Grill & Dining G, the restaurant in the Main Wing. Dinner is served in the same restaurant, and elementary school children are served children's dishes at dinner. The restaurant has 156 seats, including one private room that seats 12. Requests for food allergy accommodation must be made at least 3 days before your visit.
Baths and Onsen
The onsen communal bath and open-air bath on B1 of the Main Wing are open from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to midnight. The North Wing rooms come with their own Shiozawa Onsen baths, which are for North Wing guests only.
Family-Friendly Features
Children under school age co-sleep free of charge, with co-sleeping available for up to 2 children. Co-sleeping costs 90% of the adult rate for elementary school children, and also 90% of the adult rate for babies and toddlers who have both meals and bedding. Co-sleeping is not accepted for babies and toddlers with bedding but no meals, or with meals but no bedding. Items available to borrow free of charge for your room include children's yukata, baby baths, bed guards and baby-bottle sterilizing kits, and a crib can be borrowed for children under 1. A humidifier, an air purifier and a thermometer can also be borrowed free of charge. The fitness center is for junior high school students and older, so children under school age and elementary school children cannot use it.
Access
The nearest stations are JR Karuizawa Station and Naka-Karuizawa Station on the Shinano Railway, and you can get to the hotel from either by taxi. A free shuttle bus also runs between the hotel and the station at certain times of year, but the station it serves changes with the season and seats are limited. From Tokyo, the trip takes about 1 hour 30 minutes by Shinkansen and taxi. Parking is available for 74 cars, free of charge and with no reservation needed.
