The Twin and Comfort Twin rooms are 30 sq m with a 6.9 sq m terrace and sleep 2 guests, with two beds measuring 120 cm wide by 203 cm long by 43 cm high. All Comfort Twin rooms are on the third floor, and their balconies take in the changing seasons of Karuizawa. The Suite is 85 sq m and sleeps up to 4 guests; alongside two beds it has two day beds (110 cm wide by 203 cm long by 40 cm high), which makes it well suited to families. All rooms are non-smoking and have a balcony. The Twin and Comfort rooms have an en-suite bathroom with the bath and toilet in a single unit, while the Suite has that same unit plus a separate jacuzzi and a separate toilet. Parties of 3 or 4 guests in one room can be accommodated only in the Suite.
Dining
Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet, including omelets cooked in front of you by a chef. You can also take breakfast at a relaxed pace in your room. Breakfast is 4,000 yen for adults and 2,800 yen for children ages 6 to 11, and is free for children under 6. The children's menu is available at dinner only, as a dedicated course for children of elementary school age and under. Baths and Onsen
The onsen wing, Breeze in Plateau, looks out over a spectacular view of Mount Asama, and the ride from the hotel to the onsen wing by monorail takes about 1 minute. The waters of Karuizawa Asama Onsen are said to be beneficial for cuts, sensitivity to cold and dry skin. There is one indoor bath and one open-air bath for each gender; the women's bath has a mist sauna, and the men's bath has a dry sauna and a cold plunge bath. Boys ages 7 and over use the men's bath and girls ages 7 and over use the women's bath, and guests wearing diapers are asked to refrain from bathing.
Family-Friendly Features
There is no room charge for children ages 0 to 5. Children ages 6 and over are charged the same rate as adults. Co-sleeping is free for children who have not yet started elementary school. For children ages 4 and over who need meals, an additional charge applies. Cribs are available to borrow; numbers are limited, so please contact the hotel in advance if you would like one.
