The communal bath is open from 3 p.m. to midnight and again from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. the next morning, and the sauna alternates between men and women. The communal bath has no open-air bath. A bathing tax of 150 yen per person per night applies, but only to guests aged 12 and over, so younger children are not charged.
