Sunrise Villa Oarai stands along the Oarai coast and consists of just 3 villas, each rented whole and each with an ocean view. Every villa is over 100 sq m, comes with a kitchen and laundry facilities, and sleeps up to 6 guests. The bedroom is upstairs on the second floor, and the glass window in the bathroom also frames the sea. Up to 4 children can co-sleep, but child car seats and cribs are not available. The shared spa and sauna are booked for private use in 90-minute slots, one group at a time.
Rooms
There are only 3 villas here, each a whole-villa suite with an ocean view. Each is over 100 sq m and sleeps 1 to 6 guests, with the living room, dining room and kitchen on the first floor, and the bedroom, washbasin and bathroom up the stairs on the second floor. The bedroom has 4 beds measuring 97 cm wide by 195 cm long, and the first floor has 2 sofa beds. The villas also come with a kitchen, cooking utensils and tableware, and a washing machine and dryer. The bathroom on the second floor looks out to the sea through a full-height glass window. There is no rice cooker, so pots and other cooking utensils are used instead.
Dining
Breakfast is included with every plan and delivered to your villa as a breakfast plate at the time you specify. Children are served the same breakfast as adults. A floating breakfast, served on a dedicated tray set afloat in the pool, can also be arranged for up to 2 groups if you request it in advance. The berry yogurt at breakfast contains honey; if a child under 1 will be eating it, let the staff know and it can be served without honey. On plans that include a barbecue dinner, you can choose between a meat course featuring Ibaraki-brand pork and other ingredients, or a seafood course featuring spiny lobster and abalone.
Baths
The shared spa and sauna are booked for private use in 90-minute slots, one group at a time, with time slots assigned on a first-come, first-served basis at check-in. Swimwear must be worn, no rental swimwear is available, and private use is not offered during the morning hours. The outdoor garden pool is free for staying guests and is open from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. It is warmed by a heat pump, so the water may not warm up easily during colder seasons. There is no children's pool.
Family-Friendly Points
Up to 4 children can co-sleep, and babies and toddlers with no meals and no bedding can stay for an additional charge. Babies and toddlers who need meals or bedding cannot be accommodated. Elementary school children, in both the upper and lower grades, are charged a separate children's rate. Child car seats and cribs are not available, and because the bedroom is up the stairs on the second floor, families with young children need to take care going up and down.
Access
By car it is about 9 minutes from the Mito-Oarai IC on the Kita-Kanto Expressway, and by train about 6 minutes by taxi from Oarai Station. A shuttle to and from Oarai Station can also be arranged; if you would like one, you need to call at least 2 days before your stay. There is free parking for about 30 cars on the grounds.
