Hotel Crystal Palace is a city hotel in Hitachinaka with a communal bath and banquet halls. Single, semi-double and double rooms are all 16.5 sq m, with bed widths of 120 cm for the single, 125 cm for the semi-double and 140 cm for the double. Twin rooms are 24 sq m and have two separate beds 110 cm wide. Semi-suites start at 36.5 sq m, and suites start at 49.5 sq m and include a living area. Japanese-style tatami rooms range from 10 to 20 tatami mats and come in two types: futon bedding only, or futon bedding plus low beds. They take 1 to 8 guests, which suits family and group trips. Many rooms also have child rates. There are 100 rooms in total.
Dining
Restaurant Sala serves breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m., lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (last order 2 p.m.) and dinner from 5:30 to 9 p.m. (last order 8:30 p.m.). The lunch buffet has a weekly changing menu with a choice of Japanese, Western or Chinese dishes, along with antipasti, soup, three kinds of rice and a drink bar. The salad bar uses vegetables sourced from contract farms. Umaimondokoro Yonemon and the teppanyaki restaurant Shiho are fully private rooms where you can eat without worrying about other guests, which works well for families. Meals can be prepared with allergies in mind.
Baths
The communal baths are on the second floor, separate for men and women, and you can go there in loungewear. They are open from 6 to 8 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to midnight. The water is an artificial hot spring with added calcium carbonate, said to promote blood flow and warm the body from the core. A sauna and a cold-water bath are provided on both the men's and women's sides. Visitors who are not staying overnight may also use the baths for 700 yen including tax.

Katsuta Station on the JR Joban Line is 2.2 km away, 7 minutes by taxi. Kanaage Station on the Hitachinaka Seaside Railway is a 6-minute walk away. By car, the hotel is 4 km from Hitachinaka Interchange on the Higashimito Road. Parking is free and has 500 spaces. Oarai Sun Beach and Aqua World are about 30 minutes by car, and Ajigaura Beach is about 15 minutes by car. Travel time to Aqua World is also given as about 25 minutes by car.
