It is an 87 sq m suite with a 10-tatami-mat Japanese-style tatami room, a 12-tatami-mat living room, a twin bedroom and a semi-open-air bath, and the living room also has a mini kitchen. It sleeps up to 5 guests.

Satoumi-tei Kinparou Hontei is a small oceanfront inn with just 8 rooms, set at the water's edge on Oarai Coast. Its communal bath is filled with heated spring water from Oarai Isosaki Shrine, so you can bathe with the sea breeze around you, and meals of country-style cooking are served at tables right by the water's edge. Co-sleeping is not available. On the basic plan, preschool-age children can stay only in the Myojin room, and elementary school children have child rates set according to their grade.

There are 8 guest rooms, all of them oceanfront. They stand about 30 meters from the water's edge and face southeast. Gansen and Kaimon are 51 sq m, with an 8-tatami-mat Japanese-style tatami room, a living room and a terrace. They have no in-room bath, so guests use the communal bath, and each sleeps 2 guests. Natsumi and Hirora are 61 sq m, with a 10-tatami-mat Japanese-style tatami room, a living room, a terrace and a semi-open-air bath, and each sleeps 3 guests. Magarimatsu and Funato are 61 sq m twin bedrooms with a seaside terrace and a semi-open-air bath, sleeping 2 guests each. Myojin is an 87 sq m suite with a 10-tatami-mat Japanese-style tatami room, a 12-tatami-mat living room, a twin bedroom and a semi-open-air bath, sleeping 5 guests; the living room also has a mini kitchen. Sodegaura is 85 sq m, with an 8-tatami-mat Japanese-style tatami room, a 10-tatami-mat dining-style living room, twin beds and a semi-open-air bath, sleeping 3 guests. Children who have not yet started elementary school are asked not to stay in Magarimatsu, Funato, Gansen, Kaimon or Sodegaura.
Dining
Dinner and breakfast are served at tables by the water's edge. There are 6 tables with sunken-floor (horigotatsu) seating and a fine view, each seating up to 3 people, and 2 private rooms with a seaside garden: one of 10 tatami mats for up to 4 guests, and one of 12 tatami mats for up to 6 guests. You can choose to start dinner at 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. Dishes cannot be changed to leave out or add particular ingredients or to use a different cooking method, and food allergies cannot be accommodated. Please confirm the content of your meals with the staff on the day of your stay. The dining area is reached by a few steps, so if these are difficult for you, you can ask about in-room dining in advance, but Sodegaura is the only room where it can be provided on request. On the "Oheyashoku de Rakuraku" plan, both dinner and breakfast are served in your room in Sodegaura, Natsumi or Hirora.
Baths
The communal bath comes in two types, the Stone Bath and the Wooden Bath, both filled with heated spring water from Oarai Isosaki Shrine. Bathing hours are 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the baths swap over between these sessions. In the relaxation space for after your bath, chilled water, herbal tea, beer and other drinks are provided free of charge. There is no private-hire bath. Six of the 8 rooms have a semi-open-air bath, so you can also bathe in your room instead of using the communal bath.
Family-Friendly Features
Co-sleeping is not available. On the basic plan, preschool-age children can stay only in the Myojin room. On the "Oheyashoku de Rakuraku" plan (an in-room dining plan), preschool-age children can stay in the Natsumi and Hirora rooms, and if you would rather eat seated on chairs, you can choose the Sodegaura room, although Sodegaura does not accept children who have not yet started elementary school. Child rates for elementary school children are 70% of the adult rate for the upper grades and 50% of the adult rate for the lower grades. Food allergies cannot be accommodated, and dishes cannot be changed. Group bookings are limited to 2 rooms, and if both rooms want to dine together, the booking must include Myojin or Sodegaura.
Access
About 90 minutes by car from Tokyo's 23 wards, and about 10 minutes from Mito-Oarai IC on the Kita-Kanto Expressway and the Higashimito Road. By train, it is about 15 minutes from JR Mito Station to Oarai Station on the Oarai Kashima Line, then 7 minutes by taxi from Oarai Station. Parking for 20 cars is free, with no reservation needed. Late checkout is available until 12 p.m.
