Petit House Cocotto is a pension in the Hirano area of Lake Yamanaka that takes just 3 groups a day. It has 3 rooms: a 13-tatami-mat Western-style room, a 12-tatami-mat Western-style room and a 7-tatami-mat Japanese-style tatami room. There is no room charge for preschool-age children, and there are plans with free co-sleeping for them. Dinner has menus for elementary school children and for preschool-age children, and you can talk with the pension about baby food and allergies. November 30, 2026 is the final date for stays.
The final stays end at checkout on Monday, November 30, 2026. Reservations for November are accepted through Rakuten Travel only. On-site credit card payment is accepted only until the end of October, so payment for stays from November onward is made through Rakuten Travel.
Rooms
The pension takes just 3 groups a day and has 3 guest rooms, with sizes given in tatami mats, the traditional Japanese unit of room size. Himawari (a 13-tatami-mat Western-style room) has 3 single beds (105 x 205 cm) and 1 sofa bed (100 x 190 cm) and can be used by up to 4 adults. Kasumiso (a 12-tatami-mat Western-style room) has 2 single beds (105 x 205 cm) and 2 sofa beds (100 x 190 cm) and can also be used by up to 4 adults. Cosmos (a 7-tatami-mat Japanese-style tatami room) has space for up to 3 sets of larger single-long futon (100 x 210 cm), and sleeps a maximum of 3 guests. In the Western-style rooms, Himawari and Kasumiso, preschool-age children can co-sleep with the beds pushed together. For Cosmos, co-sleeping, whether preschool-age children count toward the room capacity and the number of people per bed are not listed in our information, so please confirm when booking. Each room has a TV, a refrigerator, a toilet with a washing function, a washbasin and bath towels.

Breakfast and dinner are both served in the dining room, with dinner from 6:30 p.m. and breakfast from 8 a.m. On the Kids Welcome Plan and the one-night plan with dinner, the adult dinner starts with 5 appetizers, followed by main dishes of vegetable tempura, salt-grilled iwana (char) and beef steak, plus dessert. Dinner on the Rakuten-exclusive special-price plan with dinner and breakfast is a casual menu. Elementary school children eat the same meal as adults, and it can be swapped for the kids' menu (a Hamburg steak and fried shrimp set).
