There is no communal bath, onsen, sauna or private-hire bath in the building. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with a washlet-equipped toilet and a large vanity unit. The village-run onsen Benifuji no Yu, a highly alkaline simple onsen with a pH of 10.3, is an easy 200 m walk away, so a stay here pairs naturally with a soak at the onsen.

Family Lodge Hatagoya Yamanakako is a roadside lodge in Yamanakako-mura, Yamanashi, where all 14 rooms are twin rooms. Each room of about 25 sq m has two queen-size beds 154 cm wide, and because rates are charged on a per-room basis, a family of 4 to 6 can share a single room (bookings made through Rakuten Travel are limited to 4 guests per room, and extra beds are not accepted on those bookings). Children who have not yet started elementary school stay free of charge. In the morning, a light breakfast of coffee, bread and other items is served free of charge. The village-run onsen Benifuji no Yu is about 200 m away on foot.
Rooms
The two-story building has 14 guest rooms, all of them twin rooms. Each room of about 25 sq m has two queen-size beds 154 cm wide, a size slightly larger than a double bed. Rates are charged per room, so the price per room varies with the number of guests, and anywhere from one person to a family of 4 to 6 can stay in a single room. An extra bed (single size, 2,200 yen per night) can be added on request, but space allows only one per room, and stock is limited, so it must be requested when you book. Bookings made through Rakuten Travel, however, are limited to 4 guests per room, and extra beds are not accepted on those bookings. Rooms come with a bathroom and toilet with a washlet function, a large vanity unit, a TV, a refrigerator, air conditioning and a hair dryer, along with a sunny wood deck.
Dining
From 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., a light breakfast of coffee, green tea, black tea, juice and bread is served free of charge in the lounge. Dinner is not served.
Baths
Each room has its own bathroom and toilet with a washlet function, so the family can bathe on their own. The village-run onsen Benifuji no Yu is about 200 m away on foot.

With two queen-size beds 154 cm wide in each room, anywhere from one person to a family of 4 to 6 can share a room, which also makes co-sleeping easy. The first-floor rooms have almost no step up from outside the building, making them easy to reach with a stroller, but the in-room toilet and bathroom are not designed for wheelchair use.

From the Kawaguchiko IC on the Chuo Expressway, take the Higashi-Fujigoko Road and exit at the Yamanakako IC, then follow National Route 138 toward Lake Yamanaka for about 0.5 km. From Fujiyoshida Station on the Fujikyuko Line, it is about 30 minutes by public bus. Free parking is available, but there are only as many spaces as there are guest rooms, so please consult the lodge in advance if you are arriving in more than one car. The shore of Lake Yamanaka and Hana no Miyako Park are each about 1 km away on foot.
