The baths are separate for men and women, and there are two of them: a stone bath and a tatami bath with a waterproof tatami floor, both with tubs large enough to get in together with family or friends. ■ Two cottages where pets are welcome On the south side of the main building's Retreat Ground stand two log-cabin cottages. The west cabin is a Finnish-made log house with a single open room (30 sq m, for 2 guests, or up to 3 with an extra bed), and the east cabin is a detached house with two bedrooms plus a living-dining-kitchen area, equipped with a kitchen and laundry (58 sq m, for up to 6 guests, with bunk beds). Both have an en-suite bathroom with a toilet and their own dog run, and you can stay with dogs, cats and other pets. Pets are not allowed in the main building.

In winter, Sugadaira Kogen Snow Resort is only about 100 m away, less than a 5-minute walk to the slopes, and ski and snowboard rentals are available, making this an ideal base for a ski trip.
