Overview
Musubino Yado Airinkan is an onsen ryokan in Shin-Namari Onsen, Hanamaki, Iwate. Families can enjoy 3 hot-spring sources of its own across 17 baths, and the ryokan was certified in 2012 as a Welcome Baby Inn by Miki House Child Care Research Institute. Baby-friendly amenities include dedicated baby futons, unlimited diapers, baby food, and baby items in the communal bath and private-hire bath. There is also a wood-play area and summer activities for children. Dinner is available as in-room dining or at the Satoyama Dining buffet, with child rates set by age.
Rooms
Choose from around 11 room types, centered on the main building's Tsuki Kanmuri and the new building's Hana Kanmuri. The most affordable Hana Kanmuri 6-tatami room (19 square meters, capacity 1-2 guests) is a compact room with an en-suite bathroom and toilet. The standard Tsuki Kanmuri 12-tatami room (38.7 square meters, capacity 2-6 guests) offers typical room size. All rooms with beds use Simmons beds. The Hana Kanmuri room with an onsen open-air bath (67.7 square meters, capacity 2-6 guests) has an onsen open-air bath in the room and is limited to 4 rooms. The top-level special room with an onsen open-air bath (139.3 square meters, limited to 1 room) is not available for stays with children of elementary school age or younger, or for groups. All rooms have been nonsmoking since April 2023.
Dining
For dinner, choose from in-room dining (up to 4 guests including children; parties of 5 or more dine in a private venue) and the buffet-style Satoyama Dining, which has 43 tables and 140 seats, plus baby chairs. Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet at Satoyama Dining. Children's meals are arranged by age: ages 6-12 receive a kids' meal plate and futon; ages 2-6 can choose a kids' meal plate and futon or the meal only; ages 1-2 can choose a futon only or no meal and no futon; and age 0 stays free. Dinner baby food consisting of rice porridge, freshly set tofu, corn soup, pumpkin, sweet potato, yogurt, and grated apple costs 2,200 yen and must be requested at least 3 days in advance. Kewpie baby food is also available at breakfast, and guests may bring their own. Low-allergen kids' meal plates can be arranged with at least 3 days' notice. Guests with food allergies can receive menu changes and other accommodations, within reason, if they notify the facility at least 3 days in advance.

Enjoy 3 hot-spring sources of its own in 3 communal baths—Kawa no Yu, Yama no Yu, and Mori no Yu—with 17 baths in total. Kawa no Yu has an indoor bath, a 90-cm-deep bath with built-in seating, a rock open-air bath, and a ceramic bath with 100% free-flowing spring water. The private-hire bath Chappun has 2 baths—a ceramic indoor bath and a semi-open-air ceramic bath—that families can reserve exclusively for 45 minutes. The price is 2,200 yen once on weekdays and 2,750 yen on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Baby baths, baby chairs, water thermometers, and baby shampoo are provided in the communal baths and private-hire bath, so babies and young children can bathe. Changing rooms have diaper-changing tables and diaper bins.
