Oyado Nonohana is an atmospheric onsen ryokan tucked quietly into the mountains of Oku-Kurokawa, a little away from the onsen town of Kurokawa Onsen. Its setting in a peaceful mountain valley gives families time entirely to themselves.

Only 2 rooms, Shion and Benifuji, can take children

At this ryokan, only the 2 detached rooms Shion and Benifuji can accommodate children of elementary school age and younger. The other rooms cannot accept children below junior high school age, so if you are traveling with children, be sure to choose Shion or Benifuji. Checking the eligible rooms and plans when you book will put your mind at ease.

Rooms with their own indoor and open-air onsen

Among the rooms, including Shion and Benifuji, there are rooms with an open-air bath that come with two private onsen baths, one indoor and one open-air, so your family can soak in Kurokawa's hot spring water without worrying about other guests. They are detached Japanese-Western rooms, where the tatami area also makes co-sleeping easy.

Access

The ryokan is located in Manganji, Minamioguni-machi, Aso-gun, Kumamoto, in the mountains of Oku-Kurokawa. Parking is provided. It is easy to reach by car from Aso Kumamoto Airport or from the direction of Oita, and it pairs well with a round of Kurokawa's baths or sightseeing around Aso.
