IZU GRAN VILLAGE Glamping is a glamping property in Izu Kogen. Rooms
There are three types of tent. The dome tent (round) is about 36.26 sq m with 2 beds plus 3 futons; the safari tent (square type) is about 40.3 sq m with 1 king-size bed plus 2 sets of Japanese bedding; and the dog site, where you can stay with your dog, is a dome type of about 36.26 sq m with its own dog run. The safari tent's bed has a canopy. All of them sleep 2 to 5 guests, so a family of four fits in a single unit. The safari tent opens straight onto the terrace through a large window, while the dome tent is a space that keeps your privacy. A bath and a washlet toilet are connected to each tent, so there is no need to step outside the unit when a child needs the toilet or a bath. Every unit has air conditioning, so you can stay in both summer and winter. There is a TV, a refrigerator, an electric hot-water kettle, free Wi-Fi, a humidifier and individually controlled air conditioning. There are 21 units in total. Please note that dogs cannot stay in the safari tents or the dome tents.
Dining
Breakfast and dinner are both served in your tent. The dinner barbecue takes place on your tent deck, served from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., with the latest start at 6 p.m. Staff bring it to your tent when the time comes. If it is decided in advance that strong winds or heavy rain make dining in front of the tent difficult, the dining location may be changed. Breakfast is a sandwich made with local vegetables, together with soup, fruit yogurt and milk. It is served from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and you collect it at the front desk and take it back to your tent to eat. Regarding food allergies, requests such as changing ingredients cannot be accommodated, so guests are asked to discuss bringing their own food when booking. If there is a risk of severe allergic symptoms, or if you need allergens removed, the property may decline to serve meals. If you are traveling with a child who has allergies, discussing it before booking is essential. The front desk offers all-you-can-drink free drinks: milk, more than 20 soft drinks, soft-serve ice cream, draft beer, a range of sours, highballs, red wine and white wine. They are served from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the day of arrival and from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. the next day, and the milk and soft-serve ice cream work for children too.
Baths
The bath and toilet are connected to each tent, so your family has them to yourselves. There is no information about a shared communal bath, and bathing is done entirely in your own tent's bathroom. Within the village there is a private-hire Finnish sauna, available by reservation for a fee. The rate is 3,980 yen for 90 minutes with the whole hut to yourselves, and it can be used from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. (last start 8:30 p.m.) and from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. (last start 8:30 a.m.). Swimwear must be worn; if you do not have any, you can borrow a sauna garment at the front desk for 500 yen each. After the sauna you can get into the oil-drum bath (a cold-water bath) or the tsubo-yu pot bath under the stars. Particular care is required for children and older guests, however, and guests are asked to discuss it in advance. Some one-night, two-meal plans come with a benefit of 90 minutes' private-hire use of the tsubo-yu pot bath and the sauna.

Parking has 21 spaces, is free of charge and needs no reservation, so families carrying a lot of luggage can drive right in. Check-in is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and checkout is at 11 a.m. Izu Granpal Park is a 5-minute walk away, Tabi no Eki Granpal Port is a 1-minute walk, and Izu Shaboten Zoo is 5 minutes by car. The front desk has special advance tickets for Izu Granpal Park and Izu Shaboten Zoo, as well as discount tickets for the Omuroyama chairlift. A convenience store is about a 5-minute walk or 1 minute by car, and a supermarket is about 10 minutes by car. Bicycle rental is available by reservation for a fee.
