Ikaho Onsen Moriaki Ryokan is a long-established ryokan founded in 1868, a 3-minute walk from the stone stairway street of Ikaho Onsen. The Kogane no Yu spring water flows straight from the source into the open-air bath, the communal bath, the private-hire bath and the guest rooms with their own onsen bath. Bath chairs, baby baths and other children's items are available to borrow, and there are baby beds in the bath changing rooms and baby seats in the barrier-free restrooms, so families with young children can settle in with peace of mind.
Rooms
There are 74 guest rooms in all, 7 of them universal-design rooms. The breakdown is 7 rooms with their own onsen bath, 62 Japanese-style tatami rooms and 5 twin-bed rooms. The universal-design rooms have no steps from the doorway inward, so they work well for families with young children and for guests who use a wheelchair. Among them, the Universal Deluxe room on the 3rd floor has no steps at all from the entryway through the room to the sanitary space, with a clear width of at least 80 cm at every doorway. Matsukaze, the special room on the top floor, is a three-room suite of a Japanese-style tatami room, an antechamber and a Western-style room, 23 tatami mats in size, with plenty of space for three generations traveling together. Standard room equipment includes a bathroom with toilet, a shower, air conditioning and heating, an air purifier, a TV, a refrigerator, a hair dryer and a kettle.

Alongside kaiseki cuisine featuring local flavors such as Joshu beef, there are colorful children's dishes. Elementary school children pay 70% of the adult rate, with meals comparable to the adult menu, and children under school age pay 50% of the adult rate, with a kids'-meal-style plate. Breakfast is served buffet-style in the dining hall from 7:30 a.m. until the hall closes at 9 a.m. Allergy requests must be made at least 3 days before your stay, and the breakfast buffet cannot accommodate allergies because cross-contamination cannot be prevented. Baby food can be warmed in the microwave.
Baths and Onsen
The open-air bath Ujo no Yu, the communal bath Jizo no Yu, the private-hire bath Keyaki no Yu and the guest rooms with their own onsen bath all use the Kogane no Yu spring water, flowing straight from the source. The private-hire bath Keyaki no Yu is available for a fee and requires a reservation: 3,500 yen before tax for 50 minutes, with towels and mineral water included. The changing rooms for the open-air bath and the communal bath have baby baths, baby chairs and baby beds, and the private-hire bath's changing room has a baby chair and a baby bed as well. Guests are advised to refrain from bathing if they have a fever, are pregnant or are otherwise unwell, so please check if this applies to you.

Checkout is by 10 a.m., and late checkout is available for a fee of 3,300 yen including tax per room per 60 minutes.
