This purely Japanese-style ryokan stands at the foot of Ikaho's Ishidangai stone stairway street, where guests can take in the bustle of the hot spring town. Oyado Tamaki is a purely Japanese-style ryokan founded 70 years ago, standing at the foot of the Ishidangai stone stairway street in Ikaho Onsen. Ten of its 26 rooms have an open-air bath, and guests can enjoy two onsen with different types of spring water: Ikaho's Kogane no Yu and Shirogane no Yu. Co-sleeping and age-based meals are accommodated, and the family room Kashiwa, which can be divided into three rooms of 12, 8 and 6 tatami mats, sleeps up to 12 guests. Private-hire baths and a free shuttle are also available, making it well suited to a family onsen trip.

The ryokan draws on two spring sources at Ikaho Onsen: Kogane no Yu, a sulfate spring, and Shirogane no Yu, a metasilicic-acid simple spring. There are 2 communal baths, 3 open-air baths and 2 private-hire baths (the indoor bath Koharubiyori and the open-air bath Akari), which can be booked for 50 minutes at a time for 3,300 yen or 2,200 yen per group. Guests with tattoos are not permitted to use the communal baths at all; those affected are directed to a room with an open-air bath or to a private-hire bath.

Access
The ryokan is 15 minutes by car from Shibukawa Station and a 2-minute walk from Ikaho's Ishidangai stone stairway street. There are 2 parking areas with about 60 spaces in total, free for staying guests. A free shuttle is available anywhere within Ikaho-machi; call after you arrive and someone will come to pick you up. Pickup at Shibukawa Station is not possible under an agreement with the local bus company.
