Yuinchi Hotel Nanjo is a natural onsen resort standing on a hill in Nanjo, in the southern part of Okinawa's main island. It has 147 rooms in all, in Western-style, Japanese-style tatami and Japanese-Western layouts, and there is an indoor heated pool (closing after October 12, 2026) and a summer-only outdoor leisure pool. Strollers and cribs are available to borrow, and there is a nursing room and a diaper-changing table, so it is an easy place to stay with babies and toddlers. Do note that at the natural onsen, children of elementary school age and older cannot bathe in mixed company, and children who are not yet out of diapers (not yet toilet-trained) cannot enter the bathtub.
Rooms
The hotel has 147 rooms in three types, Western-style, Japanese-style tatami and Japanese-Western, spread across three buildings: the Annex, the Kogane no Yu building and the Center building. The Western Deluxe in the Annex is 32 sq m for 1 to 4 guests, with a bathroom facing the balcony. Universal Family on the first floor is 64 sq m, designed barrier-free without steps so it is easy to move around in a wheelchair, and sleeps 1 to 4 guests. The Japanese-style Standard in the Kogane no Yu building is 31 sq m with 8 tatami mats for 1 to 4 guests, and Japanese-style tatami rooms with an onsen fed by the same type of spring water as Enjin no Yu are available in the same size. The Center building has a 27 sq m Western Standard, a 38 sq m, 12-tatami-mat Japanese-style Deluxe, and a 55 sq m Japanese-Western Deluxe suited to three generations. Beds in the twin rooms are 122 cm or 113 cm wide, and some rooms come with an extra bed. The Kogane no Yu building has two floors and no elevator, so you move between them by stairs; take care if you are using a stroller. Room facilities include a crib, which requires advance reservation and is limited in stock, and children's pajamas in size S (120 cm) are also available. On the summer family travel plan, there is no accommodation charge for children aged 12 and under who stay by co-sleeping (this plan only).
Dining
Restaurant Sunpia serves a buffet of Okinawan, Japanese, Western and Chinese dishes built around organic vegetables from Nanjo. Since its September 2026 renovation, breakfast is 3,500 yen for adults (junior high school age and up) and 2,000 yen for elementary school children; lunch, served only on Fridays, weekends and national holidays, is 4,000 yen for adults (junior high school age and up) and 2,000 yen for elementary school children; and dinner is 6,000 yen for adults (all-you-can-drink included), 4,800 yen for junior high and high school students and 2,000 yen for elementary school children. Children ages 3 to 6 eat free at every meal. There are no Japanese-style floor seats or private rooms, so please note that a private room is difficult to arrange when dining with children. Baby food is available for a fee if you contact the hotel at least one week before your stay, and there is a microwave on site for warming baby food you have brought with you. Baby bottles can be sterilized at the restaurant or the front desk. Meals prepared with consideration for allergies can also be arranged, but please confirm what can be accommodated with the hotel in advance.
Baths and Onsen
The natural onsen Enjin no Yu flows straight from the source, and staying guests can bathe as many times as they like, free of charge, from check-in until checkout. It is open every day from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Children of elementary school age and older cannot bathe in mixed company and must use the bath for their own gender. Children who have not yet started elementary school must always be accompanied by a guardian, and children who wear diapers day to day cannot enter the bathtub; in that case they can use the showers or the baby bath set up in the communal bath. For day-use bathing, children under 6 are free, with up to 2 such children free per adult.
