The bathhouses on the grounds hold 8 private-hire baths, with a choice of rock, hinoki cypress, ceramic and Goemon-buro (cast-iron tub) baths. Each room is assigned one bathhouse for its exclusive use, and the baths can be used at any time during bathing hours without a reservation. The hinoki bath Kaede is popular with families with small children, and Ume no Yu, rented by the hour, has a rest area with a veranda, which makes it easy for parents to take turns bathing.

Rooms
Every room is an independent Japanese-style tatami cottage, laid out as two connected rooms. Fukumanzan and Hyugadake each have two 6-tatami rooms and sleep up to 3 guests. Yufudake, Noineyama, Tateishiyama, Jogadake and Yuyama each have two 6-tatami rooms plus a veranda (engawa) and sleep up to 4 guests, and Yufudake also has its own private garden. Each room comes with a designated family bath for its exclusive use. The three cottages Shiroyu, Otogino and Tsurumidake are adult-oriented, and children cannot stay in them.
Dining
Meals are served in the dining area of the main house, which includes Japanese-style tatami seating, so it is easy to use with children. The Daichi no Megumi Japanese kaiseki course, made with local Yufuin ingredients, is popular, and breakfast is known for its rice topped with an onsen egg (a soft hot-spring-cooked egg). For children under school age there is the Kids' Plate, with dishes such as Hamburg steak, fried chicken, spaghetti and chawanmushi (savory steamed egg custard), and there is also a Kids' Kaiseki featuring dishes such as wagyu beef grilled on a ceramic plate. Elementary school children and older are served meals similar to the adult menu, and breakfast is Japanese-style. There are 2 large open-air baths, Unkai no Yu and Manten no Yu, which alternate daily between men and women and look out toward Yufudake. The bathhouses on the grounds also hold 8 private-hire baths: 4 rock baths, 1 hinoki cypress bath, 2 ceramic baths and 1 Goemon-buro (a cast-iron tub bath). Each room is assigned one bathhouse for its exclusive use, and the private-hire baths can be used at any time during bathing hours without a reservation. The hinoki bath Kaede is a favorite with families with small children. Ume no Yu, rented by the hour, has a rest area with a veranda, which makes it easy for parents to take turns bathing.
