Baths and Onsen
The spring water is an alkaline simple onsen, colorless and clear, with a source temperature of 38 to 40 °C. There is a communal bath with an open-air bath called Hakuryu, a lying-down bath called Kuzan, and a standing bath called Setsugekka, and guests can use them whichever room type they stay in. Hakuryu and Setsugekka are open 24 hours apart from cleaning times, and Kuzan is open from sunrise until 11 p.m. In the standing bath Setsugekka, the part of the tub on the ravine side is 120 centimeters deep, so take care when bathing with children. There is no private-hire bath on the property. Guests who want to bathe privately are directed to the rooms with an open-air bath (the Iyashi-buro types and Seiryuan), but since Seiryuan cannot accommodate children, the option for families with children is an Iyashi-buro type, a Japanese-style tatami room with an open-air bath. The baths in the rooms are onsen as well. Whether children who are not yet out of diapers may enter the tubs is not stated, so please confirm with the ryokan.

It is about 40 minutes from Matsumoto IC, and a free shuttle bus runs from Matsumoto Station. Pickups depart Matsumoto Station at 3:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., and drop-offs leave the ryokan at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., two services each way. Parking is available for 35 cars, free of charge. The nearest convenience store is about 20 minutes away by car. Check-in is from 3 p.m. and checkout is by 12 p.m.
