The hotel has a main building and an old building. The old building makes use of a structure put up in 1947, while the main building was built in 1997. The old building has 8-tatami Japanese-style rooms (for 1 to 3 guests), 10-tatami Japanese-style rooms (for 1 to 4 guests), 22 sq m twin rooms, 15 sq m single rooms, and 23 sq m twin rooms with a balcony of about 10 sq m. The main building has 10-tatami Japanese-style rooms (for 1 to 4 guests), 12.5-tatami Japanese-style rooms (for 1 to 6 guests) and 14.5-tatami Japanese-style rooms (for 1 to 8 guests), along with 24 sq m twins, 36 sq m superior twins that take up to 3 guests with an extra bed, semi-doubles of about 18 sq m and singles of about 18 sq m. In the main building, the 12.5- and 14.5-tatami rooms have the bathroom and toilet separated. Some of the twin rooms in the old building have a view bath, where you can soak while looking out over the scenery beyond the balcony. All rooms are non-smoking, and humidifiers and air purifiers are available to borrow; some rooms have an air purifier already installed.

Dinner is a course meal in the restaurant, and breakfast is a Japanese obanzai (Japanese home-style side dishes) buffet. On a plan with two meals, preschool-age children are served a kids' meal at dinner, and the same breakfast as adults. If a child aged 0 to 2 would like a children's set at dinner, it costs 1,650 yen, and breakfast is free of charge. Baths
The communal bath, Fukashi no Yu, uses groundwater selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Waters of the Heisei era. It is not an onsen. The men's communal bath is on the basement floor of the old building and the women's communal bath is on the first floor of the main building, and staying guests can use them from 3 p.m. until 10 a.m. the next morning. There is no private-hire bath, sauna or ganbanyoku (heated-stone sauna), so bathing with your child means either the gender-separated communal baths or the bathroom in your room. Whether children who are not yet out of diapers may enter the bathtub is not stated, so please confirm with the hotel in advance.
Family-friendly features
Up to 2 children may co-sleep, and children aged 0 to 2 stay free of charge if they have no meals and no bedding. Some plans set the co-sleeping age limit at 5 and under, so if you would like a child aged 3 or over to co-sleep, please check before booking. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Matsumoto Castle, a National Treasure, and a 15-minute walk from JR Matsumoto Station. The shuttle from Matsumoto Station is free but requires advance reservation, and it does not run if no one has reserved it. Parking is available for 75 cars at 880 yen per night. There are around 10 free rental bicycles, offered first-come, first-served with no reservations taken. Checkout can be extended for an additional charge: until 2 p.m., the fee is 10% of the total package accommodation charge per hour. An English-language page is available.
